oh my goodness I saw it twice this past weekend - and yes Bodi is unbelievably just adorable. all the characters were really really well done IMO -
I bought the soundtrack and its been stuck in my brain the past few days - LOL
yeah I think critics must be pretty damn jaded - the story was fine - but the animation was certainly NOT sub par - I was tremendously amazed by the really high quality of it. The characters were just so enjoyable - I laughed and had a great time. I got chills when Bodi finally found his fire.
I feel like this movie isn't going to win anything or get much note - in the shadow of something like Zootopia - but it is a really lovely movie.
i'd like to imagine a furry world out there with the places in Sing, Rock Dog and Zootopia being on the same world ^___^ its been quite a lovely influx of "furry" movies - and if Zootopia grossed over 1 billion and got an Oscar -then I am hoping we see much more efforts like all those 3 movies.honestly

Well, a lot of people feel like Zootopia would have been a more interesting movie if they'd stuck to their original story line. We can only judge or give opinions on what we have. I have been trying to get my paws on a copy of that comic and thus far have had no luck, so I will enjoy the movie anyhoo.

well since zootopia is not based on a comic I give it a pass. But I think this is pretty bad to use the name of the comic but add in stuff that don't seem to be needed. The wolves, sheep, dad, and magic can be taken out and make it more about his dream of having his band and play at the capitol city with ups and downs of stardom.

Agent F.O.X is Chinese - So is Rock Dog. Nut job was/ is Korean.
In fact, Rock Dog has some really good animation, they did a lot better than Sing did IMO. and if I am not mistaken the folks who did Kung Fu panda's opening animation also did so for Rock Dog aswell. Plot-wise its nothing like Kung Fu Panda or Sing - its actually not a bad story.
I'd invite you to give it a watch before foreclosing on it.

Rock Dog may be a Chinese production, but it was animated in the US (by Reel FX). Whereas Agent F.O.X. was animated in China, and its animation is much much worse than Rock Dog's :)

Saw the whole "struggling artist using the newbie" theme a mile away. I mean really, that's a more then common setting for this kinda movie. Other then making alot of the background characters too skinny, it wasn't bad.
I think the funniest seen was when Angus goes outside to yell at Bodi and the cars honk every time they are supposedly cursing.
But my favorite scene of all is when we go into Bodi's mind when he first hears one of Angus Scattergood's rock songs. They depicted exactly what goes on inside my head every time I listen to songs I love. The lights, the beats, the feeling of flight & weightlessness.
Plus the catchy song at the end. I'd give it a soild 4.5 stars out of a 5 star rating.
