Well, if you do make a game review in your journal, you need to write more than 3 words ;)

That was your last planned chemo cycle, wasn't it?  Is the tumor gone?

i wish.

i have one more cycle left that starts on march 6th.     my time off got extended until may 1st, so i have lots of time to recover.

the tumor has shrunk significantly, its about the size of my thumb nail now, and migrated from where it was in the lymph node along the tunnel it made and is near the surface hole it made at the beginning of the treatment.

as for the new doom game review:

super tight controls, the atmosphere was perfect...   it encapsulated the feeling of the original doom and quake games of run and gun perfectly, while being modern...  the way they dealt with healing was perfect.    i played the game on the hardest difficulty, and it took 27 hours to beat, with getting all the secrets along the way.   not once did i feel the game was unfairly hard or impossible to beat.    the story was super engaging and expertly performed...   you actually feel like a rage-fueled death incarnate....   and as the story progresses explain your back story prior to your resurrection.      and as the game progressed, new enemies were introduced...    but by far the most annoying of all...   the one enemy that resulted in my death the most was not the super strong ones...    the _IMP_ was the worst of them all....   they had the best pre-aim of where you would be as you run of all the enemies, and their large fireball shot is plenty damaging.      multiple times there would be large battles going on...  im being chased by hell knights and pinkies and revenants...   and im chasing down the imps with rockets so they stop pegging me with their fireballs.

so yeah, super enjoyable game.    completely recommended for anyone who likes to run and gun like the good old days.

can't you just rip the bastard out and burn it then? Or is the main tumor remnant needed as a canary for how any offshoots are being affected by Chemo and immune defense?

Great review, I kinda wanna play now. So sad I don't have time ;(
Unlike older ID Software titles, the new publisher didn't bother releasing a native Linux version, (I wonder if the sourcecode will be released later. ID Software always did that after a few years when they were still independent) but at least it still is an OpenGL game, and it can be run under wine performantly, now that they removed the anti software piracy shackles in the latest release. So at least in theory I could play it.

everything is working with what they have planned so far...  i will be talking to the doc later this week about options, but the heal time for surgery and location would make things awkward as well.

a shame you cant play it, it was well worth the money i paid...    though i got it on humble bundle for 1/4th the price on steam..    its still $80 on steam, i got it for $20.
