Thirty Years on This Earth

I have written journal entries before about my birthday, but today marks a major milestone. I have just turned thirty years old! As I look back, I like to think that I am continually improving myself. For example, I have once again exceeded expectations in my recent job performance evaluation and taking on new responsibilities. They say that age is just a number and I tend to agree. After all, it's what you do each year that counts. Every passing day might not always be great, but try to make the most of it no matter how old you get. I myself try to do the same, continuing to become a better person. I believe a reason for this are my parents and current job. My family has always been supportive of me and helped me succeed in life. Regarding my current job, my supervisor and fellow coworkers have always been friendly and helpful, thus I feel empowered to do my best for them and the residents I serve. For me, it is not just a job, but a career. As I turn another year older, I think that my life is continually moving in the right direction. With that all said, I wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!
