I am a single player kinda gamer. But tried out Paladins. It's fun. I fear playing with others in any games, more so when its 1 v 1 like Dark Souls. The pressure and humiliation, knowing I will suck. Ah well.

Yes I know, Overwatch, but I lack the PC to run it and as I just said there, the fact Paladins is FREE made me give it a shot otherwise I never would have still. Don't expect much of this journal but eh.

If you do not have a Hi-Rez account, consider signing up thru my referral link there. You use it, being sure it has my name in the bar, then click Play for Free. Make your account and choose to download for Steam though suppose can Windows if you want.

Yeah because referral bonuses. More so if those referrals keep playing of course. Anyway sorry. I made a good friend years ago asking for Borderlands and we talk alot to this day so never know. Also course if you already play then we can play together.

I started playing it since I couldn't get my laptop to run Overwatch, now I have a tower pc and don't feel like buying it. :P So I stuck with Paladins, very cool game and honestly I prefer the cartoonish style of it over Overwatch. X3 Plus.... Pip is adorable~!

There are some who say they played both Overwatch and Paladins and prefer Paladins. Hmm. But yea I lack the PC to play Overwatch and I would never play it anyway unless I got it for free. As I think I said up there, I don't do multiplayer games at all, at best co-op against AI bots but... yeah. I am solo game player all the way. Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania, Dark Souls... etc you get the idea. But I find this game fun, I guess cause I never played TF2 or games like that, or even CoD. Either way...

Sure sucks losing big time because I lost the gamble of being in a team who don't know what they are doing. Lacking the basics of capture the point, be near the payload to move ours or halt theirs. No contesting... nothing. Everyone just sticks their distance and spaced apart. They don't use shields of the frontliner, which no one wants to play. Or playing wrong role such as Frontliner trying to play like a flank.. Blah. I imagine lot of team based multiplayer games suffer from this problem with randoms.

I play with my brother mostly, we make a team him as Fernando and me as Kinessa, once we had to hold the point against the whole other team because our team was too busy playing mouse and cat like idiots and getting killed because the enemy team had a little organization. We still won though, well placed mines and fairly good aim kept the other team away from my brother while he captured the point, whilst his occasional attacks and shield would disperse them enough to keep me safe. Team based games are fun but can be a pain when you're matched with randoms because 1. you can't assess their skill (unless you got lucky/unlucky and happened to play with them some other time before), 2. it's harder to coordinate.

Either way, I'm always looking for people to play, being them rl or internet folks. Despite mentioning the player's skill, I don't take it too seriously, it's more like a hint of how I should play. For example, if a flanker doesn't know how to play the role that well, I'll take a gameplay less offensive and try my best to keep him/her out of trouble. I don't do competitive if this matters, turns fun into pressure and that sucks. XD

Yea I don't wanna do competitive cause then I will be the sucky one. But man, being on the bad team, just finished 2 matches where got the bad roll that way... makes me think about it. Our Grover was on the roof throwing axes, which are slow and do little damage at a distance. He was not healing anyone. Our Frontliner was doing what most people do, hide behind a wall, peek out, shoot, hide again.

The other team were either in a party or their idea worked. They were all on the roof, surrounding the point and it worked. They had their 2 Frontliners down at the capture while Vik, uh Lui Kang and their Grover on the roof. Blah. I sometimes wonder why I play. Heh I know the fun but it's more fun when our team is competent. Losing is less bad when we are evenly matched and not just steamrolled.

I can't help but think... these people playing. Do they always play multiplayer games? If so... you think they'd learn by now. Here I am, Mr. Non-Multiplayer guy understanding these simple concepts. Blah. Just those matches when paired with a team who don't play right... I just feel like giving up right then and there. Especially after failing to capture the point twice and failing the defense way too easily the first enemy capture. I just think, there is no way. Our team is miles way from the point or payload and the other team is grouped up. Don't matter how pro someone might be on our team if everyone else is bad.

I won't say I'm a pro player, because truth to be said, I don't play that well either XD but at least I play according to my role, I can do a crappy job but I try to fulfill my role. Unless I'm with friends and we're all being stupid lol. I've been playing a few online games, Co-op, pvp, pve, etc... so yea when I see a class I know more or less what to do, at least for me is basic and easy to see. Lately I'm more focused on drawings and college so I haven't played much, if you want to give it a shot my user is DurpBawlWelf, I main Kinessa and Pip but can also play other classes if needed.

Oh, Paladins and Overwatch....that fight never ends haha.
Since I can't pay for games cuz no payment metod, and neither money. I tried Paladins! [still I play Smite from the same company so why not] and I'll say it's quite fun.
I like that even being from argentina I can play it with almost no lag on northern servers
Can't stick out from Drogoz to haha

Would think their reviews would be negative because the whole Overwatch copy cat mindset. But it's mostly positive reviews. I guess I am not around forums to see any hate or bashing. But sad that Battleborn, nothing like Overwatch, is seen as being just like Overwatch and dead on arrival. Had they waited to release that game or made it free from the start... yeah. Yet Paladins seems to be doing fine.

yeah both are. If only Paladins could had been done before Overwatch's release. This battle had never happened.
cuz you know, Paladins started first then overwatch....then overwatch come first and later paladins. so no one knows who done who. it's sad to see two good games' people discussing that instead of enjoying the games.
If Blizzard would had already done something against Hi-Rez if they didn't like this [unless I'm not updated to this]

Think it was, Overwatch was revealed in 2014 and Paladins was playable in some form in 2015? Either way that is what Blizzard does though. They take good established ideas and make it better. They know what makes peoples addictions. Not saying they did that to Paladins tho, heard they looked at each others work. But yeah the whole gambling in Overwatch instead of just giving you what you want... addiction and greedy. And WoW is still relevant because they take other MMO's ideas then put them into WoW. They do that with all their other games it feels like. Overwatch stole alot of thunder from Battleborn mostly though, even tho the games are different.
