My deal with hentaikey is over, did my best and burned myself producing lot of stuff, releasing 3 comics at the same time, producing 2 comics in a single month, and taking requests and making raffles, but the people didn't responded I'm affraid, this doesn't means that VIP, Yuri, and Slavetoon will close anytime soon, they still produce some money after all, but i'll have to explore new options like Patreon, I never did it before because I still think the way patreon works is a little shady ( I knew at the beggingn they forbide mature content, then artist reported they got their paypal banned for using patreon, then suddenly without reason they say paypal is ok for porn, even if is against paypal TOS... so.. )... maybe work with Patreon sounded good for a regular artist, but something big like palcomix needs a more stable and safe source of income, just like the deal we had with Hentaikey. I also thought that creating a Patreon will make people migrate from hentaikey to patreon and end killing our deal with HK, but i don't have to worry about that now since already happened today,
I'll explore patreon, but it's scary really, I don't know for example if I have to make a "palcomix patreon" (openly stating that is palcomix behind this patreon) knowing that the stuff we produce can be controvertial, and i don't mean just lolis, some stupid companies and countrys think furry is bestiality and since bestiality is a crime, drawing furry porn is forbidden. (please do not tell me "hey, this artist do it and nothing happened to him") .. I was thinking on create "bbmbbf's patreon" instead, making it less obvious the involment with palcomix. but does will have the same support?..
Scary times ahead, but i'll not surrender. in all these 12 years we never did a step back. but "changes" are not step backs, "business" are always moving, and people must react and move where the business are.
