Finally after two years of searching, my mate has finally landed a job near Wisconsin Dells. As he starts to prepare for orientation next week, I've been trying to catch up on a few things here. Lately I've been thinking about what to do. Should I stay in Bassett in the middle of nowhere with my roommates and just play games and head over to furmeets while applying for simple but somehow "unable to hire" jobs or go over to the Dells and apply there to have a better chance?
As much as I would like to play Halo reach and Modern Warcrack and laugh at the randomness and fursuit at the meets we go to, there is still that need to actually contribute. That need to actually own and posses something that you've earned through your own hard work instead of just having it given to you over and over and over again. That something that I've dealt with throughout these last two years and I believe that luxurious break has to be done at one point or another.
During my time up north, I've noticed a lot of gas stations and stores were in town to where my fellow furry friends live. If by some chance that I don't land any hotel/resort jobs, I can always apply at the common stores and gas stations in town within walking distance if no biking distance. Hopefully when I land this job I can finally save up to get a better computer. But only time will tell.
My advice would be to head for the Dells with Blaze. You've already mined the Bassett area and come up empty, and the Dells seem like a more 'target rich environment' for job seekers.
