Yesterday at the party in Tokyo Sonic Team held for Sonic's 25th Anniversary (which was streamed btw) they announced there will be a new Sonic project (new game) next year, then they revealed some new footage of Sonic Boom Fire & Ice, and they showed some never seen before concept art of Sonic characters, here are some photos:
lots of this looks like stuff you get from the Sonic Gems Collection. the Shadow concept art looks like shit the non rabbit Concept art of Cream is great, especially the lower left one, looks like a fox... which proves my point on Cream being modeled to be a female counterpart to Tails the bottom middle concept art of Blaze looks the coolest to me, they should keep that one for an odd inclusion to Boom Jet's bird concept art actually looks like what he does with the gloves and shoes off

I can't say I heard about this one before, but I remember reading that before the spin attack they designed him to lift objects and throw them away like in Super Mario Bros 2 (a similar idea was used in the SMS version of Castle of Illusion which many ideas made it to Sonic The Hedgehog later on) I'm glad they went with the spin attack and making rings scatter around for his health, it helped make the game easier for newcomers to pick up and play and kept the flow going.
