Entry 1: Music

Yay, posted my first *real* piece of art on this site! I mean, the animation for my avatar counts, but not really, if that makes any sense. It's a furry Benni Benassi, check it out! It's DEFINITELY getting a redo, I screwed up so bad on it, but that's what I get for rushing through it.

So, got almost all of the tracks for my Trance Mega Mix set up. Finally finished writing and making the intro. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm making a mega mix of (what I consider to be) the best Trance music that I have heard this year. It will include classic artists like Absolom and Virtual God, and more recent Trance artists like Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. It's gonna blow your minds. I made the intro, I'm pretty confident with it ^^

So, for all of you reading, I have a couple of questions for you. Specifically the electronic music fans:
What is your favorite genre of electronic music?
Do you have any fond memories associated with this music?

My favorite genre is Trance. I just love the way that it's composed. Classic Trance, specifically.
As far as fond memories go, I do have one. Before I moved out of my mom and step dad's house, every couple of weeks in the summer we would go for long day trips, usually up out into the wilderness. I'm not an outdoors person, but I enjoyed these trips very much. Any way, there's this waterfall called Skalkaho Falls a few hours' drive from where we lived, and that was my favorite place to go to. It was at the top of this MASSIVE mountain, and the only way to get was on a winding road. Going on these trips I always listened to my CD player. One of these trips, I was browsing through my step-dads CD case and came across a Trance mix CD: Technomancer vol. 7. I have no idea why this seemed so beautiful, but it did, what with the classic trance music playing, it was lightly foggy/misty, and just looking out at the trees and valleys below on a cool summer day, it was just awesome.

Anyway, thanks for listening!
