Right so I figured Id make an entry in memory of my adopted father who passed away 8 days ago.
John David Shull lived to be 72. He had a very loving wife and son. He was a hard working man who litterally worked up to the day he couldnt due to kidney failure. He was a talented artist and loved a good joke. He never met a stranger and never had an enemy. Everybody loved dad. He and I might bot have seen eye to eye on everything, but I can honestly say I couldn't have had a better father. He was a generous man and gave often to the American Legion, of whom he was also a member, and even coached little league in his younger days. He opened his home up to 5 children in foster care, my older brother and sister, myself, and my two younger brothers. He cared for us all and that just shows how big his heart is. I'll miss him. Miss coming in and hearing a new joke every day, I'll miss the way we used to go on back and forth over who was better looking, I'll even miss being yelled at over stupid stuff. I'll miss you dad...
