So, it's May 1st, and I'm still not caught up on everything, but I'm getting back into the swing of it!
After an improvised, last second vacation to Vegas and the multiple near death experiences incurred by making the trip (which made it impossible to focus and resulted in massive delays,) I got back home and had a lot of trouble shaking things off.
One of my biggest projects to date, as well, took some slight precedence over other things. I still can't give full details about this, despite my having been teasing everyone with them for some time, but I can say that my end of the bargain is done as far as I know, and I'm excited to be a part of something really cool in the next few months here.
April Results & May Goal
I'll be honest. Compared to plan, April was a total flop.
There are still a few customers who haven't paid, so I can't say I have the "final" total yet, but combining book sales, Patreon and commissions, I pulled in less than $1,000...not even close to the $1800 goal. As per my plan...that means I have to quit and go back to the work force. It's just not enough.
I have a little time, and I want to give this one more month. However, due to...well, frankly, the failure of April, we need to have a simply huge month in May.
The goal is $2,000. Yes, you read that right.
Bills are as tight as ever, and while I'm cutting every possible corner, I need to make up some of the money that I just didn't make last month.
There are still about 16 slots left in the month of May (One per day,) and I'd love to fill them up. That's a huge first step...even if everyone only got stories of 4,000 words a pop, that will get us pretty close to our goal ($1450 at that rate,) so I'm trying to be optimistic. Please reply to this journal or send me a message if you want to grab one of the remaining stories, and remember that transformation stories get a $10 discount this month!

Already, I'm going against my better sensibilities, but this is what I love. This is what I want to do with my life, and I've received some wonderful support over the past month, enough that I have to give this one more shot.
Everything owed for March and April will be finished as the month goes on, and May slots will be done as they're assigned. With any luck and incredible effort, we'll go into June with a fully clean slate, and if we do, trust me...I've got something very big planned for June.
