Generally speaking the basics are that I've opened comms, taking on batches of 5, that said new batches will be opened within a day of the old batch finishing so i have no problem making a list of reserved slots
Sketches colored or otherwise are now always open, you don't need a slot and you can always grab one in a stream (provided I'm not already working on commissions in stream)
