So..Deadpool

It was a really good movie, even though i hate Deadpool.
However...there were a lot of kids in the theatre, like dude, there is a TON of nudity, gore and jokes about sex and drugs. What kind of irresponsible parents would take their kids to watch a movie like this??
I mean yeah, it's a "superhero" movie, but how can they simply ignore the huge sign that says "not recommended to anyone under 16"??

At least i wasn't sitting next to any of them, except this 13 year old kid that was sitting in  front of me like he was sleeping in his bed, his chair was so reclined that i barely had any space for my knees to move XD

I've been seeing things I shouldn't as far as movies since I was 5 but I've been unaffected I think. Though if the movie says bring an adult it's cool but I prefer if the child not see the movie at all thil they're atleast 14+

I don't really like the whole anti-hero kind of character, but this movie was so hilarious!
I almost cried laughing at the last scene when he revealed his "second mask"

I have always liked a good anti hero (like deadpool or punisher)
and yeah that was great xD i seriously wasn't expecting that. Personally i loved the after credits joke way to much. I also heard the recorded like 3 different versions of every scene with different jokes, I really hope on the DVD release they include alternate dialogue versions

SpoonFox

Deadpool is Rated R (as it should be) because anything deadpool is heavy satire and adult comedy. That's the whole point of Deadpool.

at my town its 12+ xD

Wow, that's a big misrepresentation since many idiotic US Critics actually bashed it for being a Marvel film that is rated R in most places, maybe they got their word out around your place and they 'lowered' the rating XP

the same 'responsible' parents that rent/buy them movies and videos games with excessive violence, gore, nudity then storm back into the store demanding to know how dare the clerk sell them something inappropriate for their kid. Some people just completely ignore everything put in place to let them know if the movie/game is appropriate for children or not even if the clerk points it out.

and then blame the studios for making said games/movies

but then again considering that so many parents are terrible at talking to their children . they are gonna need to learn about things like sex and drugs and rock and roll from other sources.  So the kids were just getting to watch the new deadpool PSA .
KingFoxSoul

I don't think that's actually a good idea at all XD
Parents may not actually take time to talk to them about these matters but it's best to keep silent than let the kids watch an adult movie and think it's okay to do things that deadpool does in real life XD
Just life porn doesn't teach you how to have sex adult movies like these don't really teach you anyhting about adulthood

And these pussy parents wonder why their kids are so screwed up.

And then blame the studio that made the movie

Exactly.  I'm so infuriated by these idiots to the point that we need to pass a law to have a license to bear children.

Age limits on movies only apply when not accompanied by an adult. Sure, some parents are morons who want to blame everyone but themselves for what their child might be watching, and when they do, we all hear about it, but if a parent believes their child is mature enough, or have been prepared well enough for things they might see in such movies, I think that's all that counts, really. My mom allowed me to play Mortal Kombat (albeit reluctantly) when I was pretty young. If she didn't allow me to play it until later in my life, I don't think anything would have changed except that I played it later.

yeah, but one think is you playing a game about fictional warriors killing each other (which is already pretty heavy, but if you're mature enough, go ahead). And the other is when you go see a movie with extreme violence, torture and sex, which you can mimic in real life. I'm pretty sure you can't go to school and saw people in half and scream fatality, but you can get there, grab the first girl you see and force her into sexual intercourse because you saw it in a movie and it looked cool.

That's where education and parenting come into play. I think that's what we're doing wrong as a society, rather than simply allowing a child to see something violent or sexual on TV. I think in most cases, any future problems that might arise from a child seeing something "forbidden" can be countered with simple knowledge.

when I went to see it I only saw maybe 1 kid around 10 but it was all Adults I think I was the youngest there at 22 aside from the kid.

There is a simple, unfortunate fact about the world today...
People are stupid.
Parents will ignore content warnings, and then when their child acts out, the blame it on "the big evil movie/videogame/whatever that showed my poor innocent angel a boob and said some bad words!"
Content ratings exist for a reason. People are just stupid and irresponsible...
