Okay. I was at my school's computer lab working on an assignment (okay two assignments), and went to go print one out. The Printer was slower than what I had accounted for but that was okay. maybe a full minute, possibly 2. I come back to my computer to find another guy on my computer (or rather the one I was using- not my personal comp)! I didn't see any of my stuff up and he was working on his own stuff. Granted I was very put off- cause I didn't save my other assignment, but I asked him if he logged off before working on his stuff, and he answered no. For those of you unfamiliar with this, each student has their own log in ID and password, unique to them and ONLY them to log onto a computer, and/or school email. I should point out, I had my personal email up when I went to go print. Now tell me if this was right or not,
It was getting close to a class- lab actually, that I had to go to, and I had to log out. The guy using the comp under my name kept saying that had an assignment to finish and blah-blah-blah. Now, I have NO idea of who he was, nor of what he did to my personal stuff, if anything at all, but with all these email hacking stories and such going on, I didn't feel safe going to a THREE HOUR LAB with someone logged into a school computer under my name with free range over my personal stuff. I kept trying to log out, but the guy kept clicking out of the start menu, saying he had to finish it then he'd log out. Now, on the verge of running late, I used the quick method (Window Button, L) to log out, and walked away saying "Well you're out now."
This may not seem totally bad ass to you, but this would be tantamount to Fluttershy chewing that dragon to me.
Now, be honest. Do you think that was the right thing to do? If not, what do you think I should have done, giving the circumstances?
