So... Dear UK watchers, will you lemme a bed for a night?

TL/DR at the end for the lazy ones!

See, I've been a Lion King fan since 1994, even before it was ever released. The first search I performed on yahoo the very first time I connected to the Internet in 1996 was 'the lion king', and the first website I've ever visited was what today is lionking.org, Brian Tiemann's site. In '97 I joined The Lion King Muck, a roleplay game where you could either play a character of the movie or a totally original one. I've been there for years, even became wizard. Made lots of friends and met the furry fandom.

When TLK came into Imax I went to London to see kenket and other friends from TLK Muck and go watch the Imax version with them, in a quick, one-day trip.

I went to USA three times and saw the Imax version there again, and two out of those three times I saw the theatrical play.

I consider myself the biggest TLK nut ever, at least in Spain, and you know what? I want to see the 3D version SO BADLY. But it was already premiered in USA and UK, but it's not coming to spain until December 24th, and knowing Disney Spain, it might never be released in the end.

So fearing that, I decided it'd be safer for me to go watch it to UK, the closest place to me where it will be released in english. Being quite tight on money lately, I was wondering if any of you UK people could let me stay over for a night or two (friday and saturday nights max). I'd be the most grateful! You know how expensive lodging in UK is, and if I can also meet any UK fur in the way, that'd be great!!

So the TL/DR is...

Anybody in the UK willing to let this cheetah a bed to sleep on so he can see TLK-3D in your location without spending tons of euros in lodging? ^^

Oh! A weekend would be much more prefered over weekdays, and the ideal weekend would be from friday 21st to sunday 23rd :)

Yeah, but I use euros, and that's what I care about spending! xD after changing them to pounds, that is... where are you in the UK? :3

Lol, if I lived in the UK, I would probably help, but as a US citizen, no dice.  I don't think I've ever heard of anyone going to such great lengths to see a movie in theaters, let alone having to.

In US I got a lot of places to stay, lots of old friends there I could just call and say 'hey, I arrive this day' xD But yeah, it'd be a bit too much to spend 500 euros or so just for TLK, even for me! xD But I appreciate it nonetheless ^^ In which state are you?

I would do that if I were in UK =c

But, I can give you a very cheap hostel in a very good location: http://www.piccadillyhotel.net/
When I was in UK, I went there with my friend for two nights, for a lil trip to London. ^^ The toilets/showers are really nice, tho the bedrooms could have a newer paint on walls lol xD But the most important is that we payed 12 pounds a night! And this hostel is in the middle of the city! Really! =3 Also, we payed for 10-persons room, but got 6-persons =P So, it was a good deal imho.
Anyway, I hope that helped at least a lil =3 If you won't find anything, that's a good place to consider.

Thanks a lot for the tip! ^^ But I don't really think that I'd end up crashing in a youth hostel and sharing the room with 9 random people ^^; If nobody offers me a place in the end, I'll prolly either not go at all, or try to go and come back in the same day.

And it's a real bummer, because I got a cousin living near London until just some months ago x3

Yep, that is true. You have to share the room, if you want it to be cheap =P Well, I had no problems with that for only 2 nights. But I understand most people wouldn't like it at all.

Another idea. My friend from Poland came to UK for a trip and visited me too. She was staying in some people's places all around UK. She found a website where you can offer your own house as a possible place to stay for a night for people, and in exchange you get a possibility to find those place all around the world. And it's free. Of course, you never know if you won't stumble upon some mad killer, so for example, I wouldn't really decide for that. But she's a very adventurous person and besides he went there with her sisters, so 2 ppl is much better than one. I can ask her about this website if you want.

Anyway, the best would be if you would find a friend that has an available room. ^^ Good luck! *fingers crossed*

That's why I'm preparing the site http://welcomefur.com for xD but still didn't have time to finish it up! Too much 'low paying work' waiting to get done x3 No way I'm getting in a kinda site for general people.. it'd be dangerous enough to go to a random fur's! xD

Almost as close as here xD Wouldn't be a problem if I didn't know a shit of german! =( and I actually got friends there I already know that I know they wouldn't have much problem letting me stay c: But for some reason, I dunno many people from UK!

I'm in the UK and there is space (there is currently a spare bedroom as my sister's just moved out), but I'd have to see about my mum being alright with it as she'd be a bit cautious about someone I've only spoken to online once coming over to stay although I've met up with someoone before from online and I can try to persuade her if need be. If you can find anyone who can straight up lend you a room, then I'd consider them first, but if you can't find anyone who can, I'll try my best to see what I can do. =]

Awww, but I wouldn't want to involve parents =( Dunno how old are you, but I don't think your mom would appreciate having a 38 yo spaniard coming to her house just to see TLK invited by her son! xD It's very kind of you to offer it to me, though, so thanks a lot! :) Where do you live in UK, anyway?

It's fine, she is quite laid back with people coming over and, because I've travelled hundreds of miles to see someone from online before, she trusts me with people online and it's only for a couple of nights, but she'd just need a bit of reassurance, that's all. ^_^ I'm 19 and when you put it like that, it does seem a tad odd but I could explain about the fandom and it's friendly community. :P I live in a town called Wigan, not the nicest place in the UK but the nearest bus ride is a 10 minute bus ride away.

I'm pretty sure you'll have plenty of offers - British furs are quite friendly ^^

Also, I got started on the furdom the same way, but to me it was The Animals of Farthing Wood (a British show!) instead. Though I do remember lurking around the Lion King forums, reading stories and roleplays. That was pretty much the most wonderful time of my life because it was the one time I really let my imagination run loose and wild ^^

The Return of the King.................
The king of 2D Animations, now in 3D.

Lion King is my Record in Cinemas, i watched 6 times in 1994.
And one more time last month, in this new 3D version.

There´s nothing to say, TLK RULES........

Well, it's still in 2D, but with 3D technology, glasses and such, to enjoy deepness :D And yeah, it rules way above them all! x3

Lucky for us Brazilians...........
Disney released the film two weeks after U.S. release.

Now, more Disney Classics will be converted to 3D.

aww. X3 we'll, if you dont find a place to sleep in the UK, and if you figure out the movie goes in Norway, you know you could always sleep here. =3  Oslo is only one hour drive away.

Norwegian furs hate to watch movies in Norwegian, so it would have to be in English. ^^ English sounds soo much better.

about half an hour walk outside Aylesbury. In a little village that has nothing but 3 pubs. We do have alot of trees and fields though, but you can't go shopping or eat there.

It'd be awesome :D But unfortunately, tickets are so expensive to go there! =( I'm gonna try and make a new journal to see if it's displayed in english in some other country.. but if I don't get any response I could try to go there next weekend, even if it'd be a bit too rushed!
