do you think artists appreciate or hate their old work being commented on?

i personally feel a little odd if the drawing is so old, but what are ur opinions?
lets say someone comments on a drawing u drew AND uploaded over 4 years ago, how do you feel??

Usually I feel a little shame because how my style change, obiously since looks a little uglier I feel "hey don't watch that! is really old"
