Time for my annual journal posting. It's been almost a year since the last one. Which means my birthday's right around the corner. Come Monday, June 8th, I'll be hitting 33. But that's a minor change compared to some of the decisions I've made recently.
Taking a leave of absence from a very toxic job that's been making my life miserable for too many years. Setting up an interview for vocational rehab--something I'd implore anyone who has documented mental or physical disabilities apply for if you're having trouble finding a meaningful job. Looking for a new job that won't have me needing continued psychological therapy and a regimen of anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications to try and stay on an even keel. Because lately, they haven't been enough.
And, I'm going to be taking commissions again. Been familiarizing myself with streaming. A little late to the party, but I need to give this a shot, for my own sake--and hey, some of you can get some art out me. I'll post the details in a separate journal for convenience's sake.
Here's to another year of trying to claw my way out of being down in the dumps.
