Anybody here on InkBunny ever play it? :) I really enjoyed part one, and the reviews for 2 have been so good that I almost feel skeptical, because of how sequels USUALLY turn out.
I gotta say though... Super Mario Galaxy has got some of the BEST music that I would consider as classic as the oldschool mario games.
"Family", "Wind Garden", and "Egg Planet" are my favorites from part 1.
If you liked Mario Galaxy 1 you'll like Mario Galaxy 2. It's pretty much more of the same. However thats also my complaint against the game. It just felt like more of the same. While probably as long as the first at least it did feel so much alike. Feels more like a Mario Galaxy 1.5 to me.

I agree with Ultratails here; SMG2 feels like an expansion pack for the first game... but as expansion packs go it's quite solid. It keeps the awesome gameplay of the first game, adding several fun new wrinkles.
As far as the music goes and how epic and awesome that feels... I'd say the ditty for getting a normal Power Star feels even more epic than the original, while the Grand Star ditty was more awesome in the original. And hearing the trailer music reprised in the very first level and the end credits... YEAH. >:3

There are a total of 242 stars in this one. And not like Galaxies one where it was play through as Mario and then play as Luigi. This is all in one play through. 121 regular stars and 121 green stars. This is filling my OCD collector crack needs.
