First off let me say welcome and thank you for your interest in my art work. I've got a lot of stuff that probably never would have seen the light of day because where I am at there just aren't a whole lot of people into "funny animals "
I grew up with Bugs Bunny and Friends, in the days when Saturday Morning meant Cartoon Paradise from 7 in the morning until American Bandstand at 12. It was a different world then, Television transmission started around five am and ended at 12 midnight depending on your location, there were 3 networks and scattered independent stations, but if you were a kid what mattered were the SATURDAY MORNINGs.4 glorious hours( more or less, some times there were various live action shows) of cartoon mayhem! In September the Networks would devote several hours on a Thursday (THORs-day) or Friday Night previewing the new Season, which meant

I used to rip out pages from the guide and the newspapers television schedule and copy them. Forget "Can You draw this Turtle,Pirate, etc?"- I wanted to draw Motormouse and Autocat in their cool ass machines! can
remember laboring intensely for hours trying to get the lines I was copying of 'the Houndcats" JUST RIGHT.
Mad Magazine (and the paper back reprints of Mad when it was a Comic book) was also a tremendous Influence.
Then, in high school I discovered a book called "Comics and Comix" (i think) and the work of Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton. Which is why I draw the stuff I do.
I'm going to sign off now cause writing is a lot like work ...and " I'm a lazy, lazy man" Also big thanks to the Gang at Babysitting Cream for letting me play in their sandbox
