FYI mine'll be changing.
I'll be going from AT/LW to AT/XH in preparation for the big switch in last names come January. Most of my art is ending up here, it ties into my email, and I'm using XombieHamster for multiple other art sites. The only LurkerWisp holdouts are DA and LJ, and I intend to eventually get myself a rename token and fix my LJ name. DA can stay. I barely touch the thing except to keep up with less than fuzzy artist friends. I contemplated MM, for Mandy-Monstar, but the email tie-in was better with XH so I'll be a little easier to find.
What's in a name? Maybe not much to some people, and yeah sure it's just two letters since I sign art with just initials, but to me this feels like a major change. I feel like I'm really growing as an artist away from the LurkerWisp I was back in high school when I started this internet art sharing adventure. I've really learned a lot about color, light, composition, shape and texture in these ... too many years.
It's time for a change.
And a celebration. My arm's all better with minimal scarring, and lo and behold I have a fingernail again! It's finally grown back completely and poking things feels significantly less bizarre. I've got full range of motion and the shakes are gone in my wrist and even the skin is barely discolored. It's really wonderful to feel whole and healed again.
Going out for Japanese food with friends tonight! First time I'll have seen some of them since high school. It's strange and wonderful and I'm beyond happy to be included again. Having gone 400+ miles away to college for four years made me fall well outside our largely offline loop. It's great to get that connection back again.
