Vendetta

Still alive (still alive)

So there's this author I really respect, she's been published a bunch of times now, put out some great work.  She went through a patch of writers block that lasted years.  The kind of timespan where you and your fans think, well, that must be it, finished; they're done.  But she bounced back.  If you're being hard on yourself, then you might say you're not a writer unless you write.  But the truth is, a writer is always a writer.  It's a kind of madness, it's in our blood, it's this pressure, this need, that never goes away.  We get stuck sometimes, but we never change who we are.

I am a writer.  And I am stuck.  But I will get through it, I promise you.  I promise me.

And Bump In The Night will be finished.  Watch this space.

Do miss you but you don't have to hide under a rock just because you're not writing. :) Make juicy naughty comments on pictures. They could get you in the mood for a couple of sexy one-liners...

Writer's block sucks.  I hope you plow through it soon.

well then apparently I am not a writer by definition then, because I do not have a nagging need to write, I want to write don't get me wrong, but I don't have a burning desire to write like you are saying that most writers do.....bummer....eeh oh well, once I get some more inspiration I will definately continue my stories I started on, after all, they are poised to be very good with the proper motivation and inspiration!

hang in there vendetta....I know without a doubt that you will pull through, after all you have amazing materials to work with!
we will happily wait for the return/continuation of your story!  and I can legitimately say that everyone will be happy when it is continued and will happily await its continuation.

As much as I want to glee and bounce around at the thought of the next BitN coming 'soon'; I think it's more important that the story isn't... ah, forced out to meet a deadline. (Sure, sometimes that has good results; other times, not so much.)

Some times, the words flow faster than you can write them down; other times, they don't come at all. It takes time, but in the end, it's worth it. The writer will always break through the block. Plot finds a way.

...but still, Eee~ :)

I totally understand. I'm in the position myself. I've done hardly any writing for at least a month. Plus i have some other stories on another site i haven't updated in around a Year!
So...totally understand that writer's block happens. And it can last a while. And it can even prevent the return to writing by discouraging you. So take your time. I will wait.

Just take things easy, maybe do something totally different, like clay sculpture, Lego modelling, drawing with crayons, or so. & Then, when your creativity is refound, try a short story, or a poem.   Who knows, eh ?  We'll be here, to support. ^w^

Well put. Writing is genetic. Not writing makes you no less a writer.
Writing is in your soul.
And another vote for A Bump in the Night.

Just finally unlurking out of the woodwork and writing a note here with two purposes; One, to thank you so very much for what you have written. "A Bump in the Night" is one of those rare treasured finds I tripped over back when we had been graced with just the first 4 episodes and is one of the most enjoyable story series I've seen yet. So, thank you, even if it is belated.

Second, I've lately just been wondering if you're indeed ok Vendetta. This isn't any form of "prodding" to see if you're still stuck with writers block (sorry if you are) it's just genuine concern that you're still on the top side of the dirt.

Cheers and well wishes!
