Advice?

Just looking for some input.

Some time ago, I commissioned a piece from an artist here. However after submitting payment, I have never received any progress updates or even word on a queue or ETA. Any attempt to contact them is ignored.

Any advice on what I should do?

o.o Have they been posting stuff in the meantime? Ya might wanna take a look over at the artists beware community and see if they're someone who causes frequent problems like this... Especially if they're continuing to ignore ya.

Tell others to no take commissions from that artist, if you have payed and you have gotten nothing it sounds like a rip off. Ether spread the word that he/she just takes the money for nothing, so other don't waste there money.
And if you spread the word many the artist feels bad and makes you commission, or you will find out that artist is a asshole~

I would never ignore anyone, I would say I haven't started or can't make it, but I wouldn't ignore them,

Or wait, it's up to you mate~

Mmm, I think I'll give it a bit longer. Fortunately, this is an isolated occurrence and most of the artists I deal with are nothing but lovely and professional.

Either the guy is idling away from the website or he stole your cash which is very rare if the artist has been doing commissions before for others and always completed his work.

Same, is not a shame or drama to tell names, some "artists" do that and keeping silence only help them to get more money, also artist beware on LJ or tumblr can help to spread his name and that's a small help.
