Hey everyone, I finally got the Classic Tails today ^_^ I got him at Target, where he only costs $6.99 before tax. Lets start with the badnik, Grabber. Like Motobug, grabber is cast in black plastic and has no articulation, he has a knob on his back that is just BEGGING to have a hole drilled in it for a string to go in, and though the only paint apps are a couple of yellow stripes and its eyes, the sculpting is amazing as usual, every little joint and panel is lovingly represented, and though I think the actual badnik would be a little bigger, the toy IS large enough to look like it could grab onto Tails or Sonic. Tails himself does NOT look like my 1992 birthday cake topper, his ears are bigger and the cheek fur makes him look more like a chibi version of modern Tails, but he is just ADORABLE like this, he even has a happy little open smiling mouth with a sculpted tongue, which is the very first open mouth sculpt I've ever seen in this line. The articulation is identical to classic Sonic's (with rotating tails of course,) but the joints are not quite as terrifyingly tight. If there are any flaws I'd say it is with the paint apps, they eyes and stomach are painted white and it looks like it was applied a bit too thin in some places and the orange shows through.
Final verdict: This is a toy I've been waiting for since I was seven years old, it's adorable, nostalgic, and though you should definitely buy this in the store so you can inspect the paint job I heartily recommend it to all fans of the classic Sonic games and Tails in general.
