Good news!

by
My new IBM/Lenovo X60 laptop came today. Intel core duo at ~1.83ghz, upgraded to 3gb of RAM; it's a tablet pc with a wacom digitizer. It's a little old, and a refurb. Half of the parts are IBM(from before they changed the name of their laptop line), and the rest are Lenovo. It reminds me of those old cars that have Datsun AND Nissan parts. x3

I suppose the only down sides were the MASSIVE amounts of proprietary software, and the bag (which I can't whine about too much, because it was free). The software I kind of expect, but over 20 programs on top of the necessary drivers and functions is a little crazy. Also, took removing 3 programs in the control panel and 2 reboots to get rid of Symantec. The case would be a cute, little 13" messenger bag that fits the laptop perfectly EXCEPT that it is BRIGHT red and the zipper is on the bottom of the bag. The colour is horrid, but forgivable for a freebie, but the zipper for a laptop bag on the bottom? That's just ridiculous. Zippers wear down and break at the least convenient times. And a messenger bag without the opening under the flap is just 2 canvas bags sewn together; kind of a waste.

So, does anyone know of a good 12.1 - 13" (not widescreen) laptop bag that I could get for cheap? The machine itself, with a memory upgrade cost less than a paycheck. I'll carry it in a tote bag if I can't find anything else.

Unrelated, when going through the tote bag I bought at Anthrocon, I FOUND the Furoticon ( http://www.furoticon.com ) deck I thought I left at the Westin. I'll need to re-evaluate my stock, as I am SO close to completing the second set. :3
