The stove caught fire. Everyone's okay.
My mother was making salmon downstairs and suddenly we heard her shouting up for us. My brother thought it meant dinner and was taking his time, I could tell she sounded a bit urgent (not to mention she usually just whistles when dinner's ready). I ran downstairs and she had a pan lid over one of the burners which she couldn't put out after shutting off the oven and throwing flour on it (which just scorched). My brother called the apartment maintenance guy who ran over with a fire extinguisher and put it out. I, while moving fans in to vent out all the smoke, got a lung full of smoke and fire extinguisher *cough* I don't feel that great. Anyway, everyone's fine, the apartment didn't burn down, dinner is a bust and that's how my Friday the 13th has gone so far.
