Our database needs scrubbing. It eats too much disk! But to fix that we have to put the site in to maintenance mode or you'll all wonder why everything is going soooooo slooooooooow. Scrubbing is hard work for the poor server. (Actually it's called "Full Vacuuming" but that sounds less impressive).

Update: The process was much faster than expected. Site access is back to normal after just 10 minutes!
