My Dream

When I was young, I applied the company about my dream and they challenged me to see if my dream is same or change.

Today, that company asked me that question "What is your dream as child?"
My answer:
Actor, wrong.
Web Developer, wrong.
Joker, wrong.
Comedian, wrong.
Comic Artist....right.

I realized that I almost give up my comic dream after I graduated from college in 2010. I must to keep up with my comic and I must to make my childhood dream come true.

But I will need your help! Give me your idea, I will add on lists to do. ^^ Drawing a comic is my dream.

What sort of comic would you like to draw? Think about other comics, furry or not, and see what amazing variety there is. "The Far Side" and "Argyle Sweater" are one-panel jokes; "Doc Rat" is multi-panel and often quick jokes, but it also has complete story arcs that go on for months. Some comics, like "Prince of Cats" or "The Less Than Epic Adventures of T.J. and Amal," are huge story arcs that take a long time to complete. Where does your interest lie?

If you'd like a "one-off" joke, try this... if you kick a sheep anthro in the groin, does that count as "rack of lamb"??? ~_^

Hmmm, I believe you saw some of my comic works. Which do you think that will apply me better?

When in doubt, try everything. "Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!" (from Auntie Mame) Or, to borrow from Robert Heinlein, "Everything to excess! To enjoy life, take big bites. Moderation is for monks."

To put it in more practical terms... I'd suggest trying a few one-panel jokes, visual gags, that sort of thing, along with a few three or four-panel jokes that tell their own joke (or jokes) in each set of panels. In other words, start with "quickies" before moving into the realm of more complete story arcs. This will allow you room and time to draw your characters, get to know them, develop them a little, as well as introduce them to your new audience. Your characters will tell you their experiences, their stories, their jokes, and their changing worlds as you get to know them. As with new friends, it can take a little while for them to open up to you and tell you the really good stuff.
