Drawing is that mattress!

How you make your art?
Do you have a drawing board, a comfortable chair at the correct height? A normal table, even if it is, where all your pencils and other writing instruments are supported?
Very good, because ... for me to do these things, here at my home, conditions are so contrary that each of these drawings are almost a miracle. I feel that my family does not like me to draw, the more I have big plans for my characters.
It is possible to notice that the drawings are done on ordinary notebooks. I recently bought a little more professional papers, Canson, but due to didn't find H-graded pencils at the stores I went, I can't do sketches... sketching on HB pencils gets very strong and I still get easily lost on it.
I'm at this cartoon stuff for more than 25 years, since I was 11, but I'm beaten everyday by a bunch of European less than 20-year old girls at art social networks (DA mainly), with their mastery at tablets. What is annoying is that I've been working for a long time in professions that has nothing to do with it - I'm a video editor, and certainly, the people who work in that famous building in Burbank are not bank clerks or ice cream vendors in their spare time...

The first batch of artworks sent here - only one - were made on a PC using Wacom tablet and Paint Tool SAI . But today's batch were made on a MacBook Poor, whoops, Pro, using Inkscape to trace over pictures taken by a tablet. My scanner don't want to work with the Mac - maybe even less now, when I upgraded to Mac OS Mavericks. And pictures of drawings always come with a circle of light in the middle that no app can take it out, and sometimes, pencil's trace SHINES at the center of these pictures, difficulting even more Inkscape's rasterizing.

But now comes the worst... Even though I have a table in my room, however ordinary it is, it's 120% occupied by a computer - that PC, now broken - and it's non-functioning multifunction printer . Where I do the drawings ? Lying on a mattress. The covers of school notebooks and the thickness of the number of pages help the stability of the paper. (Moleskines? I discovered its existance at the past year, and buying them still are a little over-expensive to me.)

I've heard so many animation and/or cartooning pros writing in magazines and on the Internet that drawing should not be done  this way, saying that even rudely, but it has been a sacrifice to stop using ballpoints!...

And why I am so fond of drawing? Because I think people who create these famous characters you know do not have many of the ideas I have, or even run away from it.
If I ever got to make cartoons, someday, I think I would have something to contribute to this art.
