I decided to try to get back into playing SL. I tried it a few years ago and just got bored with it, but I want to give it another chance

Why did you bored at SL? Its nice place to find ppl for making commissions.

I just didn't have any friends on there at all, and there was nothing for me to do. I can't own land or a home or get a job in there because my real life will most likely get in the way and I didn't want to have a ton of money invested in something like that. Even now, I started back because a friend asked me to and I'll probably spend $5 a month on it if that.

I never thought of it as a place to get commissions. No one seems interested in buying my art so I don't really think like that. XD

I dont want to say that u will find lots of friend there after 5 minutes u play there. U need to spend some time to go up and down there to findd friends. SL has virtual galleries... May be u just need to find some (furry or non furry) and post ur art there. I started from this thing. The right place to find buyer or just friends is club. SL has lots of clubs. SL has lots of furry clubs too. SL has thematic places as place about The Lion King or others. So dont rush, just enjoy your time there.
