okay... never thought i'd have to resort to using bans, but people have been posting a couple of my drawings ('turtle burritos' in particular) all over tumblr. i recently created a tumblr account (against my wishes) so that tumblr users can reblog directly from there.
my picture, 'turtle burritos', is special to me. i drew it for my kid and posted it on my DA so others can enjoy it as well. that's as far as i had intended for it to go. but when i found this pic on ANOTHER web site, with comments about it, likes, and whatnot, i felt completely left out;
"hey, this is my drawing and people are talking about it and i'm not even aware of it? oh HEL no"
i like reading comments, answering them and feeling good about my art (times when i actually value my work are very rare and thus are more dear to me)
so here's the deal; DO NOT post any of my work (ESPECIALLY the one i mentioned) on tumblr or any other site. i will gladly post any of my pics to tumblr for you to reblog (or however tumblr works) so i can be informed about any comments and reply to them accordingly and stay on top of things.
yes, it does sound arrogant.
believe me, i have so very few things that make me happy in life (comments and favs being some of them) and make me feel like i ACTUALLY accomplished something in my pathetic existence when in reality, well... i'm not very proud of my life, to be honest.
i want to share my stuff with others. not have someone take it away and share it with others. i want to be part of it too. and as the 'creator', i believe that's not too much to ask.
i have ZEEERO ego and no social life. help a an emotionally starved 'artist' out and include me where my work is included T_T
