If you could help..

I don't feel comfortable asking for money.

But at the rate things are going, I'm looking at a few weeks or maybe even a few months without power.

Due to my brother's incompetence in life, we owe the Power Company a whopping $2100.

And they want it all before they'll turn our lights back on.

We tried going through the Government and getting help in dozens of places, but so far we've only managed to raise around $600. (And half of that can only be paid if we come up with the rest. So it's really only like 300.)

I have no immediate family to borrow from... And as I said, I hate asking for money.

I hate feeling like a burden.

But this time the situation is dire. My Father lost his job, my brother is taking his girlfriend and moving out, leaving us with the bill. And my Mother has C.O.P.D and requires a breathing treatment in order to function.

Our tiny two bed room trailer has no heat, no power, and no water. Without electricity we can't run our well pump. That means no water for the toilet, showers, drinking or cooking. And I have two nephews ( Five and two ) and a niece (5 months old) that live with us and depend on us because their parents are.. having some tough times right now. Dealing with drugs and other shit.

I've always been strong. But everyone has a breaking point...

I'm not trying to sing you a sad song. But things are really bad right now. And if even just a fraction of my fanbase donated money, it would help out immensely. (Whether it means paying the bill, or paying for gas, food, toiletries, or propane to run our camping stove.)

If anyone out there can donate any amount of money, I will be eternally appreciative, and forever in your debt.

Thank you for your time, and your patience.

My paypal is MakoRuu@Gmail.com

Or you can use the donate button found to the top right.

I haven't got too much to spare but I can send what is there. $20, hopefully there will be others that can send too. Its not much but its a start, and I wish things would turn up for the better for you all soon. As for guy who's fault this all is, I hope you don't mind if I wish I could smack him on the back of the head and tell him to pay that bill.

I've actually gotten into fist fights with my brother before.. lol

Thank you, Winter. I literally have no words. Other than thank you a thousand times.

I wonder if you can't present your brother a liability claim or something like that. If you can prove that he's responsible, I think it will be legally required of him to pay the bill yeah?

It's not even worth the effort. He's already got so many other fee's for court to worry about.

We're just going to cut ties and be glad he's moving out.

I'm sorry to hear that this is going on, and your brother is a jackass.

I've made a journal on my page linking to this, hopefully I can get some people over here and help out.

I believe her breathing treatments will make it illegal for them to shut you off without setting up a low cost payment plan, you may want to look into this

Couple things here, you mother has a chronic condition that could easily be aggravated by loss of service, getting a doctor to sign off that her life will be endangered without these treatments will make it illegal for her to be shut off Ever, for any reason.

There are minors in the house, and as such from November 1st to April 15th (i think it is) it is illegal to have a heating source turned off, (electrical is a heating source) and as such the company is legally required to work out a affordable payment plan with you

Being low income in general, gives you many protections from being shut off, and you could look into some of that

Fantastic job! They shouldn't be able to just cut power to someone whose life could be in danger as a result.

Thank you.

We've already applied for many of these Government resources (including LIHEAP.)

And they shut out power off on October 29th to avoid the winter no-cut date. (They do that a lot to the people around here.)

We're looking into getting my Mother a Medical Waiver to avoid it getting cut in the future. (And several of her doctors already said they would sign off on it.) However they cut it before we even knew about the waiver we could get, so it's too late for them to already turn it back on.

They want the full amount to restore power, sadly. (Thankfully my father was able to draw unemployment, so we won't be living in the streets.)

Unfortunately I've no money to give, but I do have good advice on how to get some at literally no cost to you and fairly quickly!  But it does take some footwork. Did I mention however that it's free? And no this isn't a pyramid scheme, just hear (read) me out.

Every person in your party who has an ID (state, drivers license etc) can make a decent amount by doing this, there is a limit.  It's legal.  Do you know about flipping electronics?  Mainly this involves video games since they have the highest profit turn around within reason (due to limitations).  Take a retail store like Best Buy, they have this amazing policy about price matching.  Take another retail store, like the Microsoft Store, or even amazon!  Wherever you can find the cheapest price, Best Buy will match it.  There are also online coupons that you can show directly on your phone that takes a percentage off even further.  All in all, you can essentially purchase a $60 video game for (depending on how well you price matched) for as low as $10 or even lower.  They constantly have coupons advertising a specific video game sale and if you can take that coupon and stack it with the price match, it can and has become absolutely free!

What do you do with this video game that you have no direct interest in?  You flip it.  All you need is yourself, the item, and your ID.  Clothes too I guess.  This is when every member you can involve becomes crucial.  I've only gone to two places but I'm sure there are more than just two retail stores that do this.  The two stores I go to, Walmart and Target, both have limits, but they are different limits.  Without a receipt from that retail store you can still exchange it for store credit at full retail price.  You can then exchange the credit for a VISA prepaid card and then load it onto your paypal or send it wherever.  I'm not exactly sure about being able to load a prepaid VISA with it since I do my shopping at either store, but if they sell it, you can buy it.  That would be my logic.

The limitations can be found using Google but I'll state them anyways.  Walmart has a three item limit per six months.  While Target has a $75 limit per 90 days, if I am not mistaken.  You can only exchange so much without a receipt but it is doable with enough participants.  If you have a silver tongue or knows someone who does, use it.  Myself and a few of my buddies have gone past the limitations but I think most of it was thanks to luck and old ladies.

The best part of all this is, the only ones who we're really taking money from (moral standpoint), are the people who wouldn't even miss it or notice.

Another good way to make fast but not as much cash is to hound thrift stores or locally owned video stores for more video games, and movies.  They don't have to be sealed, I doubt they even would be.

I have a passionate dislike for Game Stop but they are the only place I am aware of that gives cash for games at its most decent rate.  This past year, Blockbuster I guess went bankrupt so they are selling everything, including the kitchen sink.  There's one or two still around here still in business, mainly selling the racks the videos were on.  But if you can find one near you, you'll still make a profit if you purchase all the video games and flip it to Game Stop for more cash.

I talk mainly about video games because, they are one of the only products that can be on the shelf for three or more years, and still have the exact same retail value.  Makes me go.... $_$  I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed this lol.

I hope this helps, and if not I'm sorry for the lengthy read.  Best of luck to you and your finances.

Thank you, but that seems like a lot of foot work for me. I don't own a vehicle and the nearest Best Buy is over sixty miles from me. XD

I want to look into selling blood. My friend told me, while he was in college, he made like $80 a week extra just selling blood and plasma.
