When I wanna reminisce and think back to when I was just getting into furry artwork, I think back to the music I was listening to at the time.
I was about 15 or 16 when I started indulging in more mature artworks--and most of the time, I was listening to my favorite album at the time, "Waiting for my Rocket to Come" by Jason Mraz, while I browsed around exploring the wonders of attractive furry ladies. The fresh summer air was uplifting, much like it is today.
I think the sensual feel of the music really enhanced and reinforced my tastes. I'm not much a fan of hardcore porn. I really prefer erotica with a heavy dose of melodrama and sensuality and soft kisses. I like butterflies in my tummy, and I like the sweet side of sexiness. The smooth jazzy riffs of Mr. Mraz helped me get my groove on, and kinda made me the romanticist that I am today.
So here I am, listening to "Sleep All Day", remembering a day when my sexuality was still kinda new, and the whole thing seemed almost magical. I miss those days, don't you? At least my memories are trapped in the melodies, and unlocking them is as easy as pressing play on an MP3 file. Those songs still make me smile, and remind of a happier time. Thank God for music.
