For those of you and me who have posted stories over on Fur Rag.. If you haven't heard, now you should and protect the work you've posted. My thoughts on this are it's really a shame writers are the ones who get a site they use blasted down to the ground by not creating a safer more secure site.
When Sofurry went legal on their site I was very happy to see this knowing the amount of illegal pirating and hacking which goes on. Sadly I can't recover the stories I posted on there because I lost everything with a major glitch in my old laptop dvd burning software.. It never after we had a virus on it was able to burn everything I saved onto the cd so I basically have to recover the stories I want to post here from Sofurry.
It is just a damn shame all around.. There were some real great authors on there whose works are now if not saved lost to someone's hack. No wonder as a writer I am so fiercely protective of my work. It would have been nice to have seen an e-mail explaining this and then some kind of a solution to recover what works we could recover.
I know there is a lot of pissed off writers on that site who have no idea their work is history.
If you post on that site you should be thinking about backing your works up and then copywriting them if you can.
