Tonight at 2:30 am had to euthenize my Kelsey puppy. A dog I have had since i was seven or eight ( i am 20 now).
She was blind.
She was deaf.
She had Dog Cognitive something or other (doggy Alzeimers)
She had troubles controlling her bathroom time.
She bumped into a lot of walls and sometimes hard.
(this has been going on for about 8 months, and has been getting worse)
But she had her tail wagging when ever we pet her whenever she was aware someone was around, whenever she was outside. TOnight she had a bloated stomach so we took her to the animal hostpital. We had an exam done and they said it could be just bloated stomach or it could be a flipped stomach. We opted to send her on her way. And it was very very peaceful, we had out time to say goodbye. We were able to be there with her, she was on a doggy bed, she was sedated. It was her time. Still really hard for me and my family, but it was her time. And i couldn't ask for a better dog. She literally learned to sit in a minute. When i was little and my feet couldnt hit the floor she would nip at my ankles, and i would tuck my feet under me when i ate. Tons of stories, very beautiful nice dog. SHe was an English Springer Spaniel. We are going to get her ashes. Get a clay paw template. Beautiful animal, and an amazing addition to my family. Will never forget her.
