In some ways, yes. Things in the underbelly crawling that the majority of people will not hear about. This most recent comic I'm writing is based on an LEO in my precinct that is indeed working as a dance clubber. Yet it seems to shock people when reading the comic to see that people really don't get paid enough for this line of duty in real life.
There's issues that I'll bringing up later. Things that affect me, my coworkers, 'the bad guys', wrapped in an innocent detective scenario. Police are humans, too. The modern day world forgets that we see the bad things so they don't have to. It is hard to sleep sometimes. Can't tell people what's real life in my story and what's not, so it doesn't skew their idea of me or my job. Just hope they understand.
