H: A young brown furred werewolf is looking down from the pier. Wearing his purple swimming trunks, black cape and sun necklace along with more accesories, he is looking forward to have a relaxing swim under the seas as he usually does on Saturdays. His fluffy tail wagging around. He looks up from the water and looks around the beach surrounding him and happens to notice someone.
L: A lone green lizard is wading into the water, wearing just a pair of light blue swim trunks. He doesn't seem to notice the werewolf right now.
H: Happened to notice said lizard, Cody waves at him with his paw. He says "Hello!" to him but the lizard doesn't seem to hear it, instead, the lizard appears to be concentrating on the water.
L: Once the lizard is a good distance into the water, he takes a deep breath and dives below, even with his lack of goggles.
H: "Hmm." Cody looks curious about the lizard. He seems to be a freediver too like him. Because Cody's about to jump into the water, the lizard probably wouldn't mind if Cody pays an aquatic visit.
So Cody clutches his sun pendant as it shifts to a crescent moon and dives into the water. Holding his breath for a little moment, he swims away from the pier as he begins changing into his aquatic form. He begins breathing underwater as his gills form by themselves (even though, bubbles still flow from his snout once in a while). He grows fish-like fins (especially on his tail, his dolphin-like dorsal fin, webbing on his paws and armpit. And finally his feet changes and flattens into his webbed paw-like flippers.
Cody spins around for a little as his fur and long messy mane flow freely underwater as always.
L: The lizard swims down to the seabed and, blushing some, looks around, wondering if anyone is nearby. Not noticing Cody, and with no one else around, he smiles and closes his eyes. Over about 10 seconds, his body changes color from green to a light grey, fins appearing on his back and tail, and gills forming on his neck. With the changes done, the lizard, now a shark, happily sighs out the air he'd been holding, switching to using his new gills.
H: Cody notices the lizard's transformation and is very surprised, his muzzle exploding out bubbles. He witnessed how his tail becomes like that of a shark's, his scales becoming smoother and how his feet elongate, flatten and become webbed as they sprout into shark-like flippers too. "Wow! That was awesome right there, even without a necklace, lizard! Thought I was the only one who can shift into an aquatic creature, hehe."
L: The shark's eyes widen and he blushes intensely as Cody makes that comment, clearly embarrassed at having been seen changing. "U-um... I-I didn't think a-anyone was around..." He nervously fidgets with his webbed hands.
H: "Oh it's ok. I'm an aquatic-shifter too, hehe. Anyway, my name is Cody, Cody Wolfman, you?" He replied in bubbles as he flaps his fins around in excitement.
L: "...I-I'm Be- ...W-well, since you know, no point in lying... I'm Caleb. B-but, when we're around others, call me Belac in this form. I REALLY don't like people finding out I'm a were-shark..."
H: "Oh, I see. Anyway, it's very rare to see another critter who can turn aquatic like me. So how did you get your wereshark powers without having an aquatic necklace eaxctly? I'm kinda curious, hehe." Cody swims around Caleb like curious fish.
L: "I was swimming pretty close to here, and found a shark tooth in the sand... Accidentally cut myself on it, and then the next full moon, I became this for the first time. Nearly suffocated, I can't breathe air like this..."
H: "Oh, I see. Interesting. First time's always an odd moment, I relate to that. Can I share you my story?" Cody sinks and sits on the sandy floor with his flippers across.
L: "Sure. Yours is probably more interesting than mine." Caleb sinks down to sit on the bottom as well.
H: "Ok so, when I was a young cub, I always wanted to explore the world around me outside of this island. I had always wanted to be my grandfather when I grow up, however, I don't have wings and I couldn't afford to build a ship either. On my birthday, my grandfather gave me this pendant necklace before he sadly passed away years ago. I think it's like a family heirloom thing. Anyway, I decided to make my dreams come true one day. Like I said, I couldn't afford a ship, but I bought a small boat which was cheaper. It was hard because I had to paddle a lot to get to the other islands.
Unfortunately, today was full of storm and the waves were raging high. I tried navigating through the perilous current but a giant wave came forth and striked me down to the deep end. Unfortunately for me, I didn't know how to swim either. So I was thrashing underwater trying to get back to the surface without drowning. My limbs were weak and I was too far for reach, so I accepted my fate, realizing that I made the dumbest decision at the wrong time that costed me my life. I clutched my sun pendant, reminding myself that I may join in the afterlife with him. But something happened. Surprisingly I became this and began breathing again. I was confused but relieved and happy. So I decided to head back to Furana by learning how to swim. It was a really really long journey that lasted about a month I think and I was getting used to having no bones on my feet. Luckily, I made it back to my homeland and I turned back to normal, safe and sound. Now that I think about it, I think my grandfather saved my life and I still thank for it, hehe. I also made some fishy friends too that follow me all the time. And I can blow some bubbles too infinitely, so that helped me from feeling stressed.
Since then, I go swimming under the sea and explore the wonders below. Finding treasure, occassionally saving unfortunate people who were drowning like what I had gone through or simply to relax." Cody brushed his long mane back down from floating upwards. "Don't worry, I still travel around the globe using nothing but my fins!" He happily smiled as he hugs his fluffy fish tail.
L: "Wow, you were out at sea for an entire month... I've never been in my shark form for more than about half a day... All that was so cool! I should try out travelling like this sometime!"
H: "Hehe. It's always good to try out new things." Cody then stands up on his paw fins while trying to mantain his balance because of how flattened and driftingly flowing they are. "Anyway, wanna go exploring the seascape together? I bet we can find something cool here". Cody optimistically bubbled.
L: "Sure, let's go! I bet there's all sorts of stuff around!" Caleb hops up off the seabed, ready to follow Cody.
H: Cody swims around the sea majestingly with Caleb as he propels forward with his webbed paws and kicking his extremely flexible paw-like flippers alltogether along with his fish tail like a merfur. He ocassionally let out some bubbles out.
L: Caleb mostly uses his finned tail to swim, though does kick his flippers some when he has to speed up a bit and keep up with Cody.
H: Cody swims on his back as he chats with Caleb. "So umm, have you ever tried kelp? I heard it's really good for a fishy guy like me."
L: "I, um... Haven't done a whole lot with this form, I've pretty much just explored with it. Maybe this body has more of a taste for seafood, as a lizard I don't really like it..."
H: "Oh. But you can still try kelp if you like. Speaking of!" Cody swims down and sits on his kneels as takes some kelp and noms it. He likes the taste of it. Then he goes back to swimming with Caleb.
L: "May as well try it. Hope I'm not a carnivore in this form..." Caleb pulls up some kelp as well, and after a bit of hesitation, takes a bite of it. With a nod, he finishes that mouthful and says "Better than I expected!"
H: "Hehe." The two continue swimming.
L: Caleb keeps working on the kelp as he swims, soon having eaten the whole strand he'd grabbed.
H: "So umm have you ever do treasure hunting like me?"
L: "I've tried, but it's harder than games and movies make it out to be. Never found treasure."
H: "What are movies?" Furana doesn't have a movie theater or any screen related media.
L: "They're like... Animated visual records of stories, with sound as well. If you know what books are, movies are like seeing and hearing what someone is imagining while they're reading a book."
H: "Oh, I see. Interesting." Cody's flippers then switch from dolphin kicking to moving them one by one. "Anyway, a common place to find treasure is either the inside of a sunken ship or hidden somewhere in a temple. I haven't been to any of the latter though but I hope it will be very cool if we happen to find one!" Cody wags his fin-ridden tail optimistically.
L: "Either of those would be really cool to find, but a temple would be even better!"
H: "Hehe." Cody blows a giant bubble and, using his water bending powers, shapes it into a heart as he hugs it.
L: "Oh, cool! I wish I could do that!" Caleb tries blowing, but nothing but water comes out.
H: "Well, I actually have water bending powers to do that. Also I don't think sharks need air."
L: "You don't need air right now either, but you're still making bubbles. Figured I might be able to too, but maybe not."
H: "Oh, well actually, my necklace generates giant air bubbles in my lungs that never run out so that I can be able to talk underwater and no longer having to hold my breath for long period of time until I gave in. And also for bubbling around, hehe."
L: "Cool! You're making my thing look kinda basic, heh... I-I don't mind, though."
H: "Oh, it's ok." After swimming for quite a while, they reached the depths and stumbled upon a really ancient temple surrounded by aquatic flora. "Oh hey look, it seems we have arrived!"
L: "Oh, sweet! We actually found a temple!" Caleb happily goes to start swimming inside.
H: "Wait for me!" Cody blubbed as he hurringly follows Caleb to the inside of the temple like a dolphin.
L: "Ha, didn't mean to leave you behind!" Caleb slows down so Cody can catch up.
H: "It's ok, thanks." Cody is then amazed by the inside of the temple, filled with forgotten statues and shrines. Cody inspects around the temple while happily blubbling, hopping off from wall to wall like a frog with his fin-like paws. "Wow! I I wonder if we can find something cool here!"
L: "There's GOTTA be something good in here somewhere!" Caleb happily looks around, more calmly than Cody is.
H: "I hope, anyway, let's keep going." Dolphin kicking his flippers once again, Cody propels forward through the temple with Caleb by his side.
L: Caleb absentmindedly holds Cody's hand as they both swim together.
H: Cody doesn't mind. "Oh, hehe." The duo would check every nook and cranny for anything interesting to take from the temple.
L: Eventually, the two find a fairly small assortment of jewelry! "Oh cool, here we go!" Caleb picks some up to get a better look.
H: The young aquatic werewolf inspects some of the jewelry, they look really authentic. "Wow, they look so pretty to sell or give."
L: Caleb takes a necklace and puts it on, giggling a little. "Now we've both got necklaces!"
H: Cody gives Caleb a webbed thumbs up as a heart-shaped bubble escapes from his closed mouth.
L: After gathering up as much of what's left as he can carry, Caleb says "We should probably leave all this at the entrance for now, so we'll have our hands free."
H: "You mean our 'webbed' hands, hehe." Cody splays his webbed paws around.
L: "Haha, yep! That webbing is so cool, I've never really gotten used to having it."
H: "It's ok, they feel really squeaky neat, hehe." Cody swims upside down in front of Caleb.
L: Caleb briefly returns to the temple's entrance to set down the jewelry for now, though he keeps wearing the necklace he'd gotten.
H: Cody follows Caleb while walking underwater on his webbed flippers and inspects the necklace, his long fluffy mane continue to float along the water like kelp. He inspects the necklace. "That necklace looks really good on you." Small heart-shaped bubbles float towards the surface through his nostrils.
L: "Thanks! It's got nothing on yours, though." Caleb lets himself sink to the floor to just walk instead of swimming for now.
H: "Anyway, shall we keep exploring the temple?" Cody walks back to the inside of the temple, still difficult because of how paper-like and slippery his flattened webbed feet are. "It's very difficult to walk on flippers because of how slippery and boneless they are, honestly."
L: "Yeah, this is harder than I expected... Probably won't do this all that long." Caleb occasionally wobbles a little as he walks, trying to get used to how different walking on flippers is.
H: As their feet flippers slap on the stone floor, and the more they go deeper, the more the temple gets dark literally. Luckily himself is born with night vision as all werewolves, able to see anything in the dark. "You have night vision?"
L: "Um... Never checked before, but it doesn't seem like it." Caleb gets closer to Cody so he can hold their hand and keep from getting lost in the darkness.
H: The two both hold webbed clawed hands as they make their way through the dark as Cody guides Caleb. The young fish furball, however, feels scared so he inhales and exhales an air bubble through his snout and mouth to calm himself down. His fluffy pointy ears go down too.
L: "M-maybe we should come back with some kind of light source...?" Caleb is entirely relying on Cody at this point.
H: Cody reaches to his paw flipper as he pulls out a scuba knife from a belt attached to his leg as he continues to let out bubbles nervously. They then form together into a bubble rebreather covering his entire muzzle. He continues to hold onto his knife as he waits for something horrible to strike...
L: "O-oh man, I REALLY hope there's nothing hiding in here... I-I've never fought as a shark before..."
H: "Most sharks are strong, right?"
L: "I-I mean, if something comes I could bite it... B-but I wouldn't even see it coming!"
H: Cody proceeds to give Caleb a fluffy hug, his fur flowing along the water. "Everything's gonna ok, don't worry. I'm scared too, but we will face our fears and move on, ok?"
L: Caleb returns the hug. "O-okay... I guess we never did see anything alive earlier in here..."
H: Cody wags his fluffy fish tail around as they continue swimming. They eventually stumble upon a door. "Blub!"
L: "Did you find something? I wish I could see it..." With how dark the temple still is, Caleb is still essentially blind.
H: "There's a door here, I bet there's gold inside, hehe!"
L: "Oh, nice! Can you get it open?" Caleb's fear has finally faded to just about nothing by now.
H: "Watch this move!" Cody hops off from the ground and on to standing on the door with his fish tail between his legs as well as his long mane being carried around from all directions, he then launches away from it as his extremely flexible webbed flippery paws and fish tail push the door open as he glides around with his armpit webbing. "Gblabh!" Light from the other side of the room. "And that's how you open doors, my aquatic style, hehe."
L: "Wish I could've seen that... But hey, there's light now! Let's go see what's in there!"
H: Cody briefly swims into the room as he lets his jaws, spawning around infinite large bubbles at the sight of the room as his ears go back up.
L: Caleb follows him in, sighing in relief that he's finally able to see again. "So, what have we got in here..."
H: "JACKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!" Cody screamed in massive bubbles. Indeed, the entire room is full of treasure. He swims around the room and hops everywhere as he plays around with bubbles along with some gold. His fur and long brown mane dancing wildly underwater like a storm. His long flexible webbed flippers flopping around a lot from all directions like a towel. Some of the bubbles have stuck to his body but he doesn't mind.
L: "H-holy CRAP!" Caleb excitedly swims around the room, joyfully digging through the treasure in some spots to get a better idea of just how much there is. "This is AWESOME!"
H: Cody calms himself down and sinks to lower ground above the stone floor, holding onto a large water bubble around his head and mane as he blubs inside it. "This is way bigger than any of the places with treasure I been to!" He plays around with his water bubble happily.
L: "Man, it's gonna take a WHILE to get all this out! We're gonna be rich, like, later today!"
H: "We'll take what we can for today as much as possible. Then come back here another day or leave them behind for others behind, I don't mind. The important thing about today isn't the reward but the journey we made along the way, hehe." He then stretches and merges the bubbles on himself to form a cozy, bubbly layer. "anyway, what do you think of my bubble suit?" He stretches it like rubber before snapping it back into place.
L: "Ha, I didn't even notice you were doing that, it's cool!" Caleb scoops up as much of the treasure as he can hold.
H: Cody sits on the gold as he takes some of them. Wagging his bubble wrapped fish tail happily, his black cape floating upwards.
L: Once he's got a good armful of treasure, Caleb looks at Cody, wagging his tail. "We'll definitely need to bring something to carry more of this with!"
H: Cody is laying on the gold, kicking his flippers around as he picks up a treasure chest. "How about here?"
L: "Hey, that'll work!" Caleb dumps the treasure he's holding into the chest, which does already have some of its own, and he starts picking up more treasure laying around to load it in.
H: Eventually, the chest is now full of treasure that it became heavy to carry around with. "I guess now we have to carry this onto the surface together." He pops his own bubble suit, letting his fur and mane flow freely underwater again. He then sinks down till standing on his flat flippers.
L: "Hopefully it's not gonna be too heavy like this... We can empty it out some if we have to, though." Caleb sinks down to stand as well.
H: "Alright, on the count of three, we'll lift it up. One... Two... Three!" The aquatic duo both lift the treasure up as they try to maintain their balance on their flippers.
L: "O-okay, this'll work fine... G-good thing I got a little practice walking on my flippers, w-we're not swimming like this..."
H: "I agree..." They walked slowly towards the exit "I think we should empty this a little. This thing might crush our flippers even more if we can't keep go on with the chest full."
L: "P-probably a good idea..." The two set the chest down, and Caleb pulls out about a quarter of the treasure in it. "That might do it, I think."
H: The duo lift the chest up again. It's a lot less heavier now and they can swim up a little. "There we go!" Cody dolphin kicks his flippers again while carrying the chest from the side along with Caleb. They both reach the exit as the two decided to rest for a while, laying on the sandy floor looking up the surface as Cody softly blows bubbles from his snout. "Phew, that part was tough for a fish like us."
L: "At least we could swim after all." Caleb puts his hands behind his head, watching Cody's bubbles.
H: "Yep." Cody then flops on his belly. Still kicking his invertibrate flippers together at the same time while laying. "Anyway, if you have a cool superpower along with your shark form, which one will it be?"
L: Immediately, Caleb responds with "I'd want to be able to talk to fish. I bet there's all sorts of interesting stuff they know..."
H: "Oh, hehe. Same. Even though I currently have water bending powers." Cody looks at his webbed otter-like paws for a moment.
L: "What about you? There anything your aquatic form can't do that you wish it could?"
H: "Hmm. Probably the ability to talk to primitive sea creatures too. It sounds really cool. I've always been befriended by schools of fish, I feed them most of the time and I wish I could talk to them if I understand what they're saying. They're very curious creatures, so they see me as like a prince of the sea to them, hehe."
L: "Ha, you want that too, huh? Well, if I ever happen across a way to make that happen, I'll be sure to let you know."
H: "Heh, thanks. Anyway, so what was your first time you went swimming?"
L: "It was AGES ago, now... I don't remember how old I was, but I was definitely a kid. I went out to a lake with my parents and some friends, we all had a lot of fun together. Don't remember many details now."
H: "I see." Cody then stands up on his flippers "Anyway, let's get this chest moving now, shall we?"
L: "Yeah, it's about time we kept going." Caleb gets up as well, does some quick stretches, and gets ready to pick up the chest again.
H: The two pick up the chest as they carry it to the surface. However, while on their way, Cody stops swimming when he notices something... an unmoving silhoutte in the distance, near the cliffs. "Hey Caleb, what's that in the distance?" He blubbed with concern.
L: "...I don't know... Do you think we should go check it out? We can probably leave the chest for a little while, at least..."
H: "Sure." The two leave the chest on the sandy floor, hoping it won't get stolen. The two aquatic animals swam away to see what the silhoutte was and found something shocking... There on the floor, was the recent lifeless body of a green dragon, his face completely blue and his eyes closed with no bubble remaining. Cody's expression changed to pure fear and trauma as his vision became a little blurry and was spiraling slowly. It was like watching a death scene from a horror film, out of context and in the aftermath. Cody never liked the concept of drowning, he found it terrifying.
"Oh dear, this is not good. This is horrible, Caleb! We have to do something about him, he looks deadly awful!"
L: After recovering from a brief stunning at the sight of this, Caleb quickly swims over to the dragon and tries to lift them up. "C-come on, we have to get him to shore!"
H: "I'm not so sure if that poor dragon is still alive, but I guess I can try filling his lungs with my air bubbles and see if I can revive him. And if he is brought back to life, I can create a bubble rebreather or helmet for him while taking him to shore. Just a thought experiment I wanted to do incase I found a fully drowned victim like what happened here." Cody quickly swims over to the poor, innocent dragon and sits on his own knees next to the waterlogged body.
L: "O-oh, right, right!" Caleb lays the dragon down again and holds its mouth open for Cody to force air into.
H: "Alright. I h-hope i-it saves h-him." Cody feels nervous and has doubts on his head, he doesn't know if it will work but he must try. Cody fills the dragon's lungs with huge air bubbles and begins doing CPR at the same time.
L: "Put one on his head, too! He's gonna try to breathe when he wakes up!" Caleb closes the dragon's mouth again to help keep the air in.
H: "On it!" Cody blows a giant air bubble helmet around the dragon's head for him to breathe in, making sure the horns don't pop it by accident.
L: Eventually, the dragon starts coming to consciousness, weakly coughing a few times before looking at Caleb and Cody. "Wh... Wh-what's happening...?"
Caleb pats the dragon's head, smiling and wagging his tail. "Try to relax, you're gonna be alright..."
H: "Thank goodness, it worked." Cody sighed a bubble of relief. "We were so worried when we first saw you. Anyway, hello! My name is Cody Wolfman and this is-"
L: Caleb takes a deep breath... "...Caleb. So glad you're okay!"
Dragon: "I'm... Trevor. Um..." He looks around. "We're still underwater?"
H: "Yeah, we found you in a terrible state, so we revived you using my air bubbles, in addition, you're also wearing one right now for your safety. ;3" Cody winked as a giant air bubble escapes from his snout as demostration. "Anyway, nice to meet you, Trevor!" He reaches out his webbed paw for a handshake.
L: Trevor shakes Cody's hand. "Well, um... I'm gonna head for the surface. Can't swim, I have to walk, and that's why I ended up like... Well, that."
Caleb: "Oh, I can probably carry you back to shore if you want."
H: "Yeah, you're in safe hands now with us!" Cody smiled as he swims around Trevor.
L: Trevor: "Thanks, I really want to just be done with water for a while."
Caleb tries to lift up Trevor, and with some effort, he does manage it. "A-alright, let's get you out of here..."
H: Cody accompanies both Caleb and Trevor, now revived as they make their way to the shore when. "Oh yeah, the treasure chest!"
L: Caleb: "That can probably wait a little longer. Besides, there's still a lot more."
Trevor: "Wait, what? There's treasure nearby?"
H: "Yeah, we found a temple near where you are and there is a lot of treasure inside it. We scooped out some for today because there is so many in there. Anyway, maybe we should leave the chest alone for another day, I agree." Cody is still kicking his webbed flippaws like a dolphin.
L: Trevor: "Oh, I'm SO gonna check that out at some point!"
Caleb: "You'll probably end up finding that chest, but I don't really mind. No way you'd be able to clear out everything before we go back there."
H: "I may accompany you, Trevor, if you like, just incase of an emergency?" Cody questioned to Trevor, holding an air bubble in his webbed paws.
L: Trevor: "Thanks, but I'm sure I'll be fine. I can hold my breath a bit over an hour!"
Caleb: "W-wow, okay! Yeah, it'll pretty much be perfectly safe for you!"
H: "Oh, hmm. Anyway, I don't want to bring bad memories to you but... how did you ended up in here underwater exactly?
L: Trevor: "Fell from a cliff that was probably a couple miles from here, and my only way out was to just walk to shore. I at least got fairly close..."
Caleb: "Man, that sounds awful..."
H: "Yeah... I feel sorry for you. That was rough. You didn't deserved such a cruel fate as that..." Ears down and feeling bad, Cody then proceeds to hug the submerged green dragon and curls his fish tail around him, his brown fur feels really fluffy and flowy for Trevor.
L: Trevor hugs Cody back, nuzzling into their fur, and Caleb joins in as well, both of them enjoying the underwater group hug.
H: Cody wags his fluffy fish tail around as he blows heart-shaped air bubbles from his nostrils.
L: Trevor looks at Cody again. "So... If you're aquatic, how come you have fur?"
Caleb: "Oh, he's a wolf that can turn aquatic like this!"
H: "Uh-huh." Cody nodded in agreement. "I, however, have a normal form so I'm basically a land-but-sometimes-aquatic creature technically, hehe. I will transform back once we get back to shore." Cody does a small flip underwater as his long mane and black cape flops around.
L: Caleb: "...I-I can do that too. Normally I'm a lizard, but I can turn into a shark." He still blushes as he reveals that, but it's clear he's more comfortable talking about it than before.
Trevor: "Man, that's all so cool! I wish I could do that!"
H: "I hope that day will arrive for you to have your own aquatic form too sometime, hehe. I think the transformation can be emitted from anything or anywhere as far as we know." Cody optimistically said in bubbles, spinning vertically as his fur, mane, tail and cape flow along with him.
L: Caleb: "You know... Mine is from being a were-shark... Maybe if I bit you, it would spread to you?"
Trevor: "...I'm not really sure I want to try that..."
H: While Cody continued swimming, he spots a big bite mark on one of Trevor's hind legs. "Hey umm Trevor, what happened to your leg there?"
L: Trevor tries to look at his leg. "Oh, earlier some random shark thought they were tough and bit me. I gave them a hell of a kick for that, think I knocked them out in one go."
Caleb's eyes go wide. "Around here is where I think I first got my shark form, accidentally cutting myself on a tooth... That might've been the same shark that came from!"
H: "Wait... Does that mean you might turn into a shark too, Trevor!?" Cody gasped in surprise.
L: Trevor starts wagging his tail. "Oh, I hope so! Um, Caleb, how can I tell if that's gonna happen?"
Caleb: "I felt the same until the next full moon, where I changed for the first time, and I've been able to do it freely since then. A-and tonight's gonna be a full moon!"
H: "Hmm. I wonder how long have we been down here." Cody flips upwards, facing the surface of the water to determine what time of day is it now.
L: It looks like it'll only be an hour or so before sunset.
Trevor: "I'm so excited, I really hope this works! And, you know what? If it doesn't, I think I'm cool with taking that bite, Caleb."
Caleb: "Hopefully I'd actually be able to spread this through one, I've never tried."
H: "Shall we wait or?"
L: Caleb: "If this works, you probably won't be able to breathe air in your shark form, so we shouldn't leave the water."
Trevor: "Yep, I'm fine to wait here for a while!"
H: Joining in, Cody then sits at the sandy floor surrounded by sealife with Caleb and Trevor as they wait for sunset above.
L: Caleb and Trevor both sit down as well.
Trevor: "I wonder how it's gonna work for me... You guys have two legs in both forms, but here I am with four... Wouldn't that be funny, me becoming a four-legged shark?"
H: "Well, the front legs are like arms, maybe?"
L: Trevor: "Man, having arms would be really weird, but I think I'd like that."
Caleb: "Have to just hope it'll give you some..."
H: Cody looks as the sunset now starts to approach. He is also chewing kelp in the meantime.
L: Caleb: "I started feeling sort of weird a few minutes before my first change, so let us know if something like that starts happening."
Trevor: "Alright. I imagine I'm gonna recognize that..."
H: Cody stays close to Trevor, prepared to pop the bubble with his own claws incase the dragon turns into a were-shark devoid of air for now.
L: After a while, Trevor perks up from his relaxation, seemingly a bit confused. "O-okay, I feel kind of strange all of a sudden..."
Caleb: "Oh, it's really gonna be happening!"
H: "What is it like?" Cody proceeds to stand up on his flippers like a werewolf as he takes his claws out and prepares to pop the bubble.
L: Trevor: "It's like... Something in me wants to change, but can't yet. It's focused around where I got bitten earlier."
Caleb: "That's exactly how it was for me! You're gonna be a shark soon!"
H: Cody notices Trevor's scales becoming smooth. "It's happening now!"
L: Trevor excitedly watches himself change, wagging his tail. "It is! This is awesome!"
Caleb happily watches Trevor's first transformation as well.
H: "Wow!" Cody becomes amazed by Trevor's transformation into a wereshark.
L: Trevor's body slowly changes color to a similar grey that Caleb is, fins growing on his back and tail as his paws extend into flippers. Interestingly, he doesn't seem to be going bipedal, his legs remaining as legs.
H: "Flippery." Cody commented on Trevor's now flippered feet.
L: As the transformation finishes, a set of gills opens on Trevor's neck, and he starts to pant, clearly ineffectually. "G-get the bubble off!" He tries to pull the bubble off his head.
Caleb quickly bites the bubble to pop it, and Trevor takes his first breath of water through his new gills.
H: "I was about to pop it." Cody hides his claws back into his webbed paws. "Anyway, that was so cool right there!" Cody swims around Trevor, now a were-shark dragon.
L: Trevor happily looks over himself. "I feel like I already know how to use all the new stuff! And, maybe..." He hops off the bottom, trying to swim with his flippers, and he can! "I can swim! Finally!"
H: Cody watches Trevor finally swimming after 2 hours of dreadful, submerged peril tense that he unfortunately couldn't make it out alive and breathing before he was revived by the aquatic duo. Cody's expression is filled with wonder and amazement. The young aquatic wolf critter then joins the dragon-now-shark's celebratory swim as he happily dances around underwater. "Looks like that bite mark had been a blessing the entire time. Welcome to the aqua-critter pack, hehe!" He then hugs Trevor again while wagging his fish tail.
L: Trevor hugs them back, and Caleb joins in as well.
Trevor: "This day was going so awful earlier, but now it's the best day of my life!"
Caleb: "Glad you love your new form so much!"
H: "And it's thanks to us, hehe!" Cody happily smiled, he can't contain his happiness any longer as he then launches towards the surface using all his flippers, webbing and fins and does a dolphin somersault under the starry night sky. "YEAH!" He then splashes back towards the waters.
L: Caleb and Trevor both happily launch out of the water as well, and while neither get as much height as Cody, Caleb gets close to that.
H: "Well then, I should probably get back to the land this hour for a nice, dry rest at my cozy home. It's been fun being underwater with you guys, hehe. Anyone wanna come?" Cody brushes his mane back down from floating upwards.
L: Trevor: "Same here, normally I'd be doing better, but that transformation and the... Incident earlier, took a lot out of me."
Caleb: "The transforming gets easier, so don't worry about that. I definitely need a while to rest after all the swimming I've done today."
H: "Alright, then let's go!" Cody, along with the 2 weresharks, then swim back onto shore. Cody sticks his head out of the water once his flippers reach a sufficient amount of sand for him to stand on.
L: Trevor almost continues onto the land, but stops. "...How do I change back?"
Caleb: "It's hard to explain, you just sort of... Will yourself to go back to normal."
Trevor tries doing that, and soon he starts reverting to being a dragon. He quickly goes enough out of the water that he can breathe as his gills fade away and his lungs return.
H: "Welcome back to the land, my friend." Cody smiled. The wolf is now out of the water in the beach, now looking like a mop of wet fur before he shakes around to dry. His fur then went puffy.
L: Caleb leaves the water as well, changing back to lizard form and smiling. "Think I'm finally starting to be okay with people knowing I can do this..."
Trevor goes the rest of the way onto the beach. "Well, I certainly don't plan on hiding this ability myself!"
H: Cody trips on his fin-like flippers and into the sand face first, they are so flat and a bit round that it looks like a cartoon character whacked his feet with a giant hammer. "Ouch. Guess it's time I go back to just wolf."
L: Caleb helps Cody up. "Yeah, our aquatic forms don't do well on land. You're lucky you can at least still breathe air in yours."
H: "Better have bubble lungs just incase, hehe!" Cody winked and smiled. He then clutches his crescent moon necklace as it turns back into a sun. His fins and gills along with his webbing then disappear as he reverts back to a normal bipedal wolf. His webbed flexible pallettes shrinking back into just round paw feet as he feels his bones back. "And this is my land form!" He stands up with his arms wide open like a showbiz man.
L: Trevor: "You both look pretty good in your normal forms!"
Caleb: "Thanks! You're a pretty good-looking dragon!"
H: "Hehe, thank you, Trevor." Cody pets the blessed dragon.
L: Trevor wags his tail some as he's petted.
Caleb: "I'm gonna start heading home now, if that's okay with you guys. Don't usually stay up this late."
H: "Ok, see you Caleb. Have a good night!" He waves bye at Caleb. Through his blue night vision (tapetum lucidum) set of canine eyes, he could see the cliff from where Trevor fell off into his unfair demise in the distance. It looked it was cut in half diagonally, almost like something else did it on purpose. "So that's what you fell from, right?"
L: "Good eye... Yeah, that's where I was. The cliff broke under me, there wasn't really anything I could have done."
H: "Hmm, maybe you should try be more careful around your surroundings next time. If I were you and didn't had my necklace, I probably wouldn't survive down there either." Cody then sits on all fours.
L: "I guess I don't have to worry quite as much now, since I can go aquatic, but... Thanks again for the help. No way I'd have gotten out without you and Caleb..."
H: "You're welcome, hehe. Umm, you... wanna be friends?" Cody curiously asked.
L: "Ha, I thought we already were!" Trevor happily nuzzles Cody.
H: "Hehe." Cody happily hugs Trevor once again before standing on all fours as he howls at the moon.
L: After a moment, Trevor decides he may as well join in on that, and howls some as well.
H: At the end of the day, what the three of these were-aquatic animals discovered under the sea was, of course, the gift of friendship. In the journey, both Caleb & Cody somehow made an unfortunate, cruel and unjust bad ending into a good one. And blessed with that bite mark on the mighty dragon's leg, he has been gifted the ability to become one with the water, completely surpassing his overpowered match but also a draw considering he, you know, died also before being rescued.
Cody was also surprised to learn the following next day that Trevor is actually Rosa Drachams' (one of Cody's friends) brother who she worried and was looking for since that incident. She was very relieved and happy that Trevor came back out of the water alive and 'reborn'. She even thanked Cody for saving him and gave him a little kiss on the cheek, he blushed with a straight line on his muzzle as he blinks twice on that sudden revelation.
The island which Trevor fell from, was known by the humans as Sa Dragonera because of its formation shape and the myth surrounding it, looks like his unfortunate fall may have accidentally inspired them somehow.
Both Cody, Caleb & Trevor instantly became friends since that day.
At last, this time, the water's nemesis, friendship, had defeated it!
