Since the announcement of Slay the Spire 2 (and I can't wait for it to come out!), I've been playing the first one a lot lately! Even after dozens of hours, I still couldn't finish it yet, but I'm too stubborn to look at any guide because I want to do it on my own XD By the way, I've already made a fanart of Defect a few years ago. It looks like this character really resonates with me :)

Defect is definitely the base character I had the most fun with, if for nothing other than "Oh look, I channel 10+ lightning per round now Mr. Boss"

Your fanart of him looks like he's extremely pissed at something and about to blast them with a few chain lightnings.

I play that game to relax and unwind.  Kinda like playing solitaire.  I always found Defect hard, but fun to play.

My favorite ended up being the Silent, and I had the most trouble with the Watcher. Loved the Defect but I would either do really well or really terribly with no in-between! It's a really fun game to figure out on your own and I think that's the best way to get to learn and understand the strategies involved in the cards and characters. Love the way you drew the Defect here and the detail in the cracked core and the texture in the gold plating and synthetic form. Beautiful work!

This character shows me the style of Nagano Mamoru and Kobayashi Makoto lives on.
And that's a good thing.
