The Dream
Chapter 3
The night passed quickly and painlessly as I didn’t even dream. I was glad to not dream for I didn’t want to relive any more nightmares. I awoke stretching my arms out wide. I looked out the crib bars and noticed it was still quite dark. This led me to believe that mommy and daddy were both still asleep. I guess the excitement of having my friends over must have woken me up early. I tried to climb out of my crib, but with the bars raised to their peak it was near impossible and I couldn’t reach the mechanism used to bring them down. I tried shake at the bars which made a loud rattle. I was beginning to getting annoyed. I wanted out and I wanted it now. It wasn’t until May came walking in did I stop.
“Hey Shaymin I see your up early. I thought I heard something.” She said rubbing her eyes.
May walks over to me and pats my head. I couldn’t suckle or talk because I apparently lost my pacifier somewhere. I reached for May hoping she would take me out of this comfy prison.
“I guess both of us are up earlier today!”
May lifts me into the air and carries me downstairs, but not before grabbing a folded up object from my closet. After we get downstairs she sets me on the floor while she sets up a large blanket on the floor. When it unfolds all the way a crossing plus extends over the blanket. Attached to the plus were little fuzzy toys dangling on thin strings. May leads me onto the matt and lands me on my back.
“Now that will keep you occupied till mommy wakes up.”
May plops onto the couch and turns on the TV. She begins watching boring news which to me was never fun. I turned my attention back to the stuff toys on the plus above me. Upon closer inspection revealed that they were all eeveelutions. Ali loved the eeveelutions a lot. My mind shifted toward my friends then. I was wondering how they would react to my sudden life change. It scared me a little to think about my friends rejecting me, but there was no turning back now. All I could do is put faith in them. Ali, Alexis, Fang, and Alexander they had all been with me through so much and the thought of just losing them frightened me to no end. My train of thought was broken by the May sitting me up and putting her hand in my diaper. I blushed bright red as this happened. She removed her hand a few minutes later.
“Not wet yet. I am surprised! You’ll have a diaper change soon I’m sure. You just got a strong bladder that needs weakening is all.”
May patted my head and laid me back down. As soon as she sat down the bumping of footsteps coming down the stairs caused her to turn around. It was Dawn.
“Morning Dawn.”
Dawn yawned “Morning May. Do you know where Cilan is?”
“Didn’t he say he was going to have the Limo tuned up then go and pick up the three kids?”
Dawn walks into the TV room holding a cup of what I assumed to be coffee. “That’s right.” She looked down at me taking a sip “Hello Shaymin you’re up early! I bet you couldn’t just wait to see your friend’s right?”
“Yes mommy.”
All of sudden the door bell rang. Dawn peaked around the corner and looked at the door curiously.
“Who could that be?”
Dawn set her coffee down on the glass coffee table and went over to the door. I got onto all fours and crawl to the corner peaking around to get a good look at who it was. Once the door opened my eyes grew wide with surprise as right there in the doorway wearing her purple top and black leather jacket accompanied by blue tight jeans and purple sneakers was Ali.
“Oh no.”
I quickly crawl pass the hallway and into the dining room.
“Hi I was told to come to see my friend Kevin here.”
“Oh your Shaymin’s friend! I’m sure she’s super excited to see you! I’m Dawn Shaymin’s new mommy.”
“It’s nice to meet you! My names Ali Dawson.”
Ali looked past dawn seeing all the baby items. Her eyes almost lit up.
“You have a baby?!”
Dawn giggles “I guess you can say that. Now come on in I’ll take you to Shaymin.”
“He changed his name?”
Dawn nods. She leads Ali to the TV room.
“Shaymin should be right here!”
Dawn stops.
“Well she was right here. May do you know where Shaymin went?”
May turns around to see Ali.
“Oh I’m sorry! How rude! I am May.”
May didn’t even bother getting off the couch for the introduction.
“I think she’s upstairs maybe.”
“Alright up we go then!”
I hurried upstairs as fast I could then hid under my crib concealing myself as best as possible. Dawn opens the doors to my nursery.
“Shaymin dear are you in here? Your friend is here early.” She turns to Ali “Why don’t you wait here. I’m sure Shaymin will turn up eventually. I’ll go make some snacks for you both while you wait.”
Dawn leaves and closes the door. This causes me to silently curse under my breath because all the doors in the house had childproof covers that prevents infants and toddlers from opening the doors. To my dismay I never understood how to open them even when I was older. They were always too hard to open. Ali begins to look around and notices something odd.
“Weird. All these baby things are way bigger than a normal baby.”
I attempt to move backward more, but end up bumping my head. This causes me to roll out clutching my head. Ali yelps and jumps back.
“Owie! Stupid crib.”
“Kevin?”
My eyes focus on Ali who is busy observing me.
“No I’m Shaymin! There’s Kevin here.”
I attempt to run over and open the door, but thanks to the mittens on my hands that makes everything much more difficult. Ali runs over and takes off my hood.
“Kevin what are you doing?! Why are you wearing a Skymin costume and why are you hiding?!”
Slowly Ali began to put two and together this made her gasp. I however put my hood back on and go back on all fours. This was a bad idea as my diaper let out a large crinkle.
“Really? Now?!”
Ali looked at me shocked.
“Are you? Are you wearing a diaper?!”
I nod.
“What is going on?!”
I was about to explain everything until Dawn walks back in. She was dressed and had my diaper bag. When I looked at her face I saw worry was plastered all over her face.
“Alright slight change of plans! We have to go pick up the rest of your friends and Cilan.”
Dawn runs over and picks up Shaymin. Ali follows Dawn not running, but walking fast. She was amazed at how Dawn could carry me with one arm. She didn’t however forget about what just happened.
“This isn’t over Shaymin.”
Dawn hurried down to a free walking van. Which had another exact copy of my car seat. Ali got in the seat to the right of me which scared me a little. I was strapped in no time and we were on our way.
Ali whispers “You have a car seat?!”
“Are you going to continue this throughout the day? You don’t have to whisper by the way.”
“Well yea I am a little shocked at how you are so comfortable with this all! I mean I always knew you liked this stuff, but I didn’t think you would go through with this.”
Thankfully Dawn intervenes.
“So Ali do you have any certain stations?”
“No. I’m fine thank you.”
“At least she was nice to mommy still.” I thought.
We finally arrive. Dawn turned around.
“Either of you leave this car you will both be in big trouble.”
I was scared for Dawn to leave so I said the only thing that would keep her around for a bit longer.
“Mommy I need a change!”
Dawn stops. She grabs the diaper bag and opens up the back door.
“Alright I can change you quickly enough. I am glad you finally wet your diapee!”
Ali wasted no time turning away as my pants and diaper was removed. Once I was in a fresh diaper Dawn told Ali it was ok for her to open her eyes. Before being placed back in my car seat Dawn blew a raspberry into my tummy. I let a burst of laughter I didn’t even know I had in me.
“Alright let’s get you strapped back in.”
Dawn strapped me back in making sure I was comfy then left to see if my friends and Cilan were okay.
“I cannot believe you just had her do that in front of me.”
I look at Ali “You had your eyes closed!”
No sooner did I see the rest of my friends heading toward did my heart drop. I hid my face as best as possible. Dawn opened the back door.
“Ok so Cilan has a hurt leg and will need to be taken to the hospital. I am going to wait with him make sure he’s in the least amount of pain as possible. Do you think you kids can behave?”
They all nod.
“Shaymin will tell me who misbehaves won’t you Shaymin?”
I bit my lip. I glance over at Ali who crosses her arms grinning.
“Shaymin is everything ok?”
I finally answer. “Yes mommy.”
I knew everyone knew who I was now. Dawn zipped open the diaper bag she brought and place a bottle of milk in one slot of my car seat tray. She places homemade poffins in the main tray. The last thing she pulls out is my pacifier. She places it in the left last tray slot then leaves. I am nervous as heck as I notice another familiar face. Lisa a girl with black hair and wearing beautiful rainbow top and black jeans enters the car. Apparently was brought along without my knowledge and she tends to be as sharp as a tack when it comes to weird stuff like this.
“Shaymin just give up you can’t hide it from them forever.” Ali says
I raise my head revealing myself. Everyone gasps except for Ali.
“Kevin?” Alexis asks.
Alexis was a brunette wearing some baggy gray pants with a blue hoodie.
“Yea it’s me.”
“Dude what happened? You’re all babyfied!”
Giackobe was a spiked black haired male wearing a black shirt a random furry character on it. He was wearing loose blue jeans. The only one not to say anything was Alexander. He was a black haired dude who was wearing a black Assassin Creed hoodie with black jeans.
“Will everyone just calm down!” I screamed
I explained everything I could and one by one they all began to sorta understand though they weren’t completely on the train with the idea.
“I guess that makes sense. Sorry about earlier Shaymin.”
After all the apologizing I let everyone talk amongst themselves while I indulged in the homemade poffins. I never such a thing existed, but when the first one melted in my mouth I was hooked. After eating all the poffins. I took the bottle of milk and began suckling it. I looked around and found everyone giggling at me.
“What’s so funny?”
Alexis spoke up.
“You look adorable that’s what’s so funny.”
I simply shrugged and continued to suckle till I finished the bottle. I began to feel sleepy just sitting here. I guess I was tired from all the emotional stress. I decided to shut my eyes for 2 seconds when in retrospect it was more like an hour. I awoke to the car starting again.
“Mommy?”
I rubbed my eyes. I still felt tired just not as tired as before. Dawn turned around looked at me.
“Hey baby girl how you feeling? You looked pretty knocked out earlier when I checked on you.”
Dawn tried to reach back and put my pacifier in my mouth, but failed to do so. Ali leaned over and took the pacifier in one hand and put it into my mouth. I started suckling immediately. Ali giggles loudly doing a slight snort which caused everyone including me to laugh.
“Aww you made her laugh Ali!”
When I stopped giggling I noticed that weren’t heading home.
“Mommy wa awe we going?”
“Since Cilan is in the hospital sweetie I thought we could go shopping really quick and pick up some pizza for lunch then I could cook dinner for your friends while I chat with their parents.”
“Is Ciwan gonna be otay?”
“He’ll be fine Shaymin. No need to worry.”
Once we arrive Dawn lets everyone out except for me.
“Hold on Shaymin. Let me get your stroller.”
I looked back and saw her lug a big pink and brown stroller out of the back of the car. Dawn and Ash were really prepared. Dawn unfolded the stroller as my friend talked and messed about. Dawn carefully took me out of the car seat and set me into the very comfy stroller then strapped me in. It wasn’t that the car seat wasn’t comfy I was just tired of sitting in it for so long.
“Alright lets go do some shopping then get some lunch!”
