Tina's story chapter 13 page 6 art by Zenia
Furfright farewell, by Zenia
Here's a picture of my muse- Tina the Poodle girl. Here, we were discussing the art for chapter 13, so she's dressed for a trip to the falls.
I know the next question is "Where can I get one, too?" The answer is that you can, but it won't be cheap. A basic one is little over 100$, and with custom hair, clothes and makeup, could easily double that. No one ever accused her of being cheap!

I always loved seeing your pictures of this little doll. I'm a fellow doll lover for sure. :)  Is she posable?

To a limited degree. Her arms rotate, as do her hips. She was formed with wires in her arms and legs, so there's a degree to which you can give her poses. And, of course, her neck rotates. So, she's somewhat 'inflexible' as a model, which makes her not the easiest subject to work with. That's part of the fascination- to work around her limits, and still get lifelike pictures. The 'Thanksgiving Dinner' series, and 'The messy room' were the most challenging scenes to date.

How neat. :3 I own a ball jointed dog doll, it's super posable, especially since I worked on it's joints. I hope to see more pictures. nwn
Who is the company/artist that made your doll? Do they only do poodles?

The basic doll is a 'Peteena' a Poodle dog/fashion doll made for a single year- 1966. In spite of this, Peteena has a HUGE following with collectors and photographers alike. I've got a number of friends who customize them, with body modifications, custom facial features, lashes and reroots. I've even been involved in creating new molds for her! We have a set of metal molds made in Africa, from which a test shot has already been run.
I've got a Momoko that has an amazing body. Been tempted to mount a Peteena head to a Japanese BJD body. I collect hybrid dolls. I've got Catwalk kitties, French Kitties, Usaggi, and others. All animal based dols. My latest are 'Pinkie Cooper' dolls,

Only one glaring error that I see.

Tina has soft blue eyes, the thing about her I like the best.  This doll has brown.

Easy enough to fix. I've got blue eyed ones, even green and golden eyed ones.
