Okay, after I finished Mikey and Raph, some people told me, that I should do a ,,Donnie, not Donny" version too. I don't know how many people spell Donnie's name wrong, but here ya go. ^^
As you can see, Donnie is upset too, when someone spell his name wrong. So he show you how to do it right using his computer. XD
Is it me, or Donnie's head really look like an egg? O_O Well yeah, still need some practice. <_<

Hope you like it! ^^

How about "Leo, not Lio". If you don't know who Lio is...

Actually, it's both.

Both Donnie and Donny have been used in different incarnations of TMNT.

Although I do hate Donny myself.

This one goes back and forth, depending on the series...
But the 2012 version actually, officially, uses "Donny".
That's what they put on all of their merchandise, at least.

no nickelodean uses "Donnie" its on the commercials and the nick website http://www.nick.com/shows/ninja-turtles/characters/don... sorry but 2012 Donatello is called "Donnie" not "Donny" the only reason the toys would have it as "Donny" would be because the toys were made before they got the official character design and they havent bothered to change the packaging

Well, then the correct answer would be that it also goes back and forth, because both sites and merchandise are linked to the original canon.
Also, literally every piece of merchandise I see, even the new stuff,  and not just toys. So I think it's less of an official thing, and more of "the opinion of whoever's in charge of that department".

This one is a matter of opinion. <3 I go back and forth myself depending on my mood.

The official FoxBox biography on Donatello lists his nicknames as "Don" or "Donny". That spelling is correct, as is "Donnie". This is one case where either of them is right, unlike the misspellings of Mikey and Raph's nicknames.

but this is specifically the nickelodean Donatello and his nickname is officially "Donnie" its on the nick website and in the commercials http://www.nick.com/shows/ninja-turtles/characters/don...

...and it's hardly something to get in a snit about.

im not trying to snit about anything. i just want people to know cause when a read a story and they spell it as Donny, i automatically think of 2k3 Donatello and then i get like halfway in the story and i find out its 2k12. its frustrating cause i always imagine the story in my head, with the voices and everything and now i have to reread the story so i can imagine it correctly.

weird cause I always used to say Donny and they're both technically correct either way you use them. So it's not really spelling it wrong...and it's not grammatically incorrect either....both can easily be spelled differently, and still sound exactly the same. It' matters on which way you like to spell it. Those who told you probably just liked it better ad Donnie, then Donny and some people get obsessive over that....

Yes you're right, both Donny AND Donnie are correct. The only diffrence when we use "ie" instead of "y" is what kind of TMNT series we looking. In the newest 2012 Nickelodeon version they using Donnie. In the 2003 version we are using Donny. According to my drawing, It's the style of 2012 Nickelodeon series, so the "Donnie" version is the official.

well yes, I suppose so. But either way you look at it, in the tmnt universe; it's all been used and said. So it's kind of not saying his name wrong....more of little contradiction here because they once used donny and then switched over even when they have the same meaning...ugh this is why i hate nickelodeon xD they have to mix up everything....
