Character Sheet for Clio Canticle
Male, Gender Non-Conforming, Gender Queer
Eastern Dragon, Original Species
Clio is a petite asiatic draconian specimen, about five feet tall. Clio, although male, has a rather feminine figure with wider hips and a more slender upper body than most males. His fur color is a rosy-pink color, desaturated enough to not be neon but still have a warmth to it. He also has light turquoise spots on his tail tip, his inner thighs, and on the bottoms of his footpaws (not on the paw pads though). Consistency wise, he’s a fluff ball. Very thick fur, very plush. His fur covers his sides, legs, arms, and back. His chest has a big tuft of this fur that spikes out a bit, below becoming a row of opalescent serpentine plate scales that continues from his sternum down over his stomach, between his legs and across the underside of his tail, narrowing out the lower they get. They stop at the tuft at the tip of his tail, and start in the same place on the opposite side, traveling back up his tail and narrowing to a thin point up his spinal column, where they branch off into his loop pattern scales. His head fur is a salmon color that becomes more creamy and desaturated toward the tips. He has two short, cute horns on the right and left, poking out from underneath the hair, colored the same as his chest scales. In terms of hairstyle, its a bit of a spiky long pixie cut. He has an intricate raised pattern of interlocking loops and spirals covering across most of his body, (starting at his shoulders and pectoral region and continuing downward, but not covering his stomach scales) that looks almost like a long string of interlocking bracelets or a loosely drawn celtic knot tattoo, but is in fact tiny little scales that stick up on a ridge through his fur. This pattern acts as a mood ring and subtly changes color to reflect Clio’s mood, although normally they are a dull metallic gold color. The pattern has horizontal symmetry across his body’s centerline but otherwise looks a tad chaotic, albet flowing and visually interesting. In dim lighting the pattern, as well as his eyes and the inside of his mouth (if open) glow faintly. When he breathes fire (rarely and not very powerful), the fire is the same color as this mood ring pattern is at the moment. He also has two wings that, while still distinctly draconian, are feathered and desaturate from his normal fur color with each line of feathers, until the tips are a light cream.
Clio is affectionate, if a little shy. After he warms up to you, he can be very friendly and loving.
Clio loves tea. She hates it when people touch her wings without permission. (They're very sensitive.)
Clio was born on the shore of an inland sea, surrounded on all sides by desert. Her early days were spent as a member of a nomadic tribe, hunting and foraging what they could in their sparse surroundings. At some point in his life, he left them to travel far away to be with the one he loves.
Head: Clio’s head was inspired by more stylized Eastern Dragon designs, but has an unusually round muzzle instead of the more elongated, boxy one, almost like a salamander. (to look more cute), with a distinctly feline (upside down Y) mouth. The space from his chin to his cheekbones and back around to just over his slotted reptilian nostrils is colored the same color as his hair, the rest of his face is his normal fur tone. His ears are triangular-shaped and rather large, adding almost a full head to his height.
His fur spikes out in a flare at his cheekbones, accentuating his salmon-colored muzzle space in an almost mammalian way. One of his eyes, which are rather large, is jade-green and the other is aquamarene blue. The top of his nose has a couple large plate scales that bridge his nose and his browline, before traveling under his bangs to hook around his ears.
Paws: Clio’s ankles and wrists have a flare of fur around them where the thick fur becomes thinner and shorter, the fur extends over all his digits, but becomes slightly lighter in color after the flare. His claws on his toes are the same color as his left eye, and the ones on his hands are the same color as his stomach scales. The digits themselves are slightly longer/larger than normal human ones, and slightly more hooked like a dinosaurs. They have feline-like paw pads on them, however.
Scales: Clio’s scales are not rock hard. They’re slightly squishy, kind of like a human fingernail, and compress when pressure is put on them like a gel. Caught in the right light, the subsurface reflections in them almost makes them look like tiny jewels.
Clio usually wears long, flowing garments, usually silk.
