Melvin Smithers, Fernald Smithers' office worker father. A gentle enough guy at heart, he is a proud Christian but tries not to flaunt it. One thing he does enjoy flaunting is his body; he works out regularly at a gym. His marriage to his wife Anne Marie Smithers is fraught with friction due to their differing opinions of their pastor, and also due to the fact Melvin is bisexual, which Anne Marie strongly disapproves of.
