Little Paws Go Camping
(A gentle bedtime story)
Page 1 - By the Sea!
It's vacation time!
Floocky, Puki, and Polop are going camping!
It's hot, the sea sparkles, and the seagulls shout:
``Meooow! Croaak! ...Or wait, seagull!''
``Catch me, Puki!'' shouts Floocky the little bear, running. Paf paf paf!
``You never wait!'' pants Puki, the little pig.
Polop the bunny, wearing his sailor cap, giggles.
``Not too fast, or the seashells might fly away!''
They play, they laugh, they jump.
Splaaash! Pssshhh!
What a beautiful day at the beach!

The sun goes down...
Crack crack crack - the fire crackles.
The friends roast marshmallows.
Floocky says:
- ``I've got my magic diaper on! I'm ready to dream of flying dragons!''
Puki blushes a little.
``I'm big... I don't wear mine yet.''
Polop whispers with a smile:
``Even big kids make toots in their sleep...''
Pooof!
They all laugh so hard. Heeheehee!
Then they fall asleep under the stars... Zzzzz...

Plop...
Floocky wakes up.
``...Oh no... a little puddle...''
He slips out of the tent, wrapped in his blanket.
Rustle rustle...
At breakfast, Puki asks:
``Why are you still in your blanket?''
Floocky whispers:
``It's... my magic armor... to stop the wind.''
Polop gives him a big hug:
``Don't worry. Even dragons pee at night.''
Coach Muzo arrives:
``Come on, little champ. Let's dry things up together!''
Floocky smiles. He's not alone.
Page 4 - A Bit of Bad Luck
At the beach - boom! - Puki throws his super ball.
But... he suddenly stops. Plop...
He looks down.
``...Oops...''
Polop walks over slowly.
``Even heroes have little accidents sometimes.''
Muzo comes back, calm and kind.
``Come on, little pirate. One minute and you'll be back playing!''
Puki smiles. He feels better.
Page 5 - The Ride Home
In the evening, everyone is tired.
Floocky and Puki sleep under a big dragon-blanket. Fsshh... fsshh...
Polop looks up at the sky.
``No accidents for me... I'm such a big kid...''
But... drip... plop...
He looks down at his pants.
`...Oh no... I dreamed too hard...''
He blushes.
Then he looks at his friends.
He smiles softly.
``Me too... I'll wear my magic diaper... but shhh, it's a secret.''
The End
PS : A little note from the storyteller:
You know, sometimes we're scared we might not make it to the potty on time. That's okay. Lots of kids feel like that, even if people don't always talk about it.
Some kids walk early, some talk early, and some take a little longer to use the potty. And that's perfectly fine.
Every little one learns in their own time.
So if it ever happens to you - or to a friend - just remember: it's no big deal.
We're all learning, little by little.
And the most important thing? Having kind people around you.
