it was unusual for tuck to run, his age, his wounded knee and his weight made such a task something he saved for an absolute emergency, and the news he had for detective nottingham  deserved the old badger's effort.

- HELLFIRE!...THE...BULLET...it's a hellfire round- , gasped tuck  after rushing into nottingham's office, the wolf got startled and was still trying to make sense of what just happened.

-tuck...sit down before your poor heart kicks your sorry butt!- exclaimed nottingham, then he  got up his chair and served a glass of water to tuck, who drank it all in one zip.

-now, you were saying something about a hellfire round?- asked nottingham, tuck, recovered from his effort took out a small evidence bag from his jacket's pocket and placed it on nottingham's desk.  inside the bag, a bullet, the same bullet that killed prince bambi's mother a couple nights ago.

- the bullet that killed  queen forest, it's a hellfire round...and before you even dare to mention it, yes, i made the tests twice, and both time, exactly the same result...HELLFIRE ROUND FORGED IN...well, hell!, whoever planned queen forest's death, was ready to fork out a colossal amount of money, these rounds ain't cheap, and only a hell forger can create it.-

tuck's words, and the great security with which he spoke them sent a shiver down the wolf's  back, the least this case needed was hades or any other hell dweller to be involved.  nottingham turned on his computer and started searching files. tuck was concerned about detective nottingham's silence.

-nottingham...you heard me, right?-

the wolf's response was to point at his office's main screen, where four profile photos projected:

-i heard you, tuck, but here is the trouble. hellfire rounds where banned after the saint canard shooting 10 years ago, all existing rounds on earth were confiscated, melted and sent back to hell by hercules...so,  here's my main concern...SOMEONE WENT TO LITERAL HELL, AND PAID HADES FOR THE PRIVILEGE TO USE ONE OF HIS FORGERS TO CREATE THE BULLET.  which leads to...-  nottingham pushed a button on the keyboard and the photos of ursula, merlock and hades vanished, leaving only frollo's picture on the screen.

-claude frollo, c.e.o. of NOTRE DAME INDUSTRIES, he has the money, and the motivation, but, he recently merged with FORESTCORP, so...killing the ex wife of his new business partner makes no sense, not so soon after the merge, and if frollo was trying to take over, he would aim at king forest...not his ex wife. so...for now, he is out. that leads us to...-

frollo's picture vanished and was replaced by ursula's

-URSULA,  president of the atlantean protectorate on cape suzette, she and queen forest have a grudge since queen forest beated ursula on the merge with KHAN INDUSTRIES, ursula lost billions after khan cancelled his plans to create a port for his aero fleet on atlantean protectorate territories, but...i can't see ursula asking help from hades, and wasting the chance to kill queen forest herself.  so, she is out, for now. -

ursula's picture vanishes and is replaced by merlock's

-MERLOCK...now, here we may have something, ever since he resurrected, he became a warlock for hire. the time he spent on hell he may have used to learn a trick or two. if he is not involved, he surely knows who is.-

-wait...are you going  to interrogate merlock? i mean, he is a resurrected warlock, nottingham, you just can't go alone and interrogate him...right?- asked tuck. nottingham's response came after a smile.

-tuck, my friend,  of course i am not going alone against merlock...he is not the only one with friends in low places...the only difference is, my friends are below surface level.-

tuck was intrigued by nottingham's response, but before he was able to ask for an explanation, an atlantean portal opened in the middle of the  office, and from it, emerged  kida, wearing her royal clothes, tuck was surprised.

- detective nottingham, i was not expecting your call to come so soon, but, i am glad to be of service.- said kida, sporting a kind smile on her face.

-nottingham..you..you know...YOU KNOW QUEEN KIDA OF ATLANTIS??- asked tuck, still surprised.

-more than that, doctor tuck.- replied kida, -detective nottingham saved milo's life when he was kidnapped by air pirates, if it wasn't for him...i rather not even entertain that thought now.-

-ONE OF THESE DAYS, YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME ALL THE THINGS YOU DID WHEN YOU LEFT SHERWOOD ON THAT "VISION QUEST" OF YOURS, NOTTINGHAM!- yelled tuck, nottingham smiled at the badger.

-later, tuck, now, queen kida and i must go have a small talk with merlock.-

i have been toying with the idea of a detective story set on an alternate universe with disney characters, a mashup, movies, series, as many characters as possible. with  detective nottingham as the main character.
