Furaffinity is being attacked by a possible hack that causes you to be redirected to another website. The official furaffinity page on Twitter and Discord have announced it for the safety of the artists, some artists recommend logging out but furaffinity says that if they redirect you to another site you will Go out because it could compromise you, although furaffinity is relaxed saying that everything is under control or that's how they try to make it look, the reality is different and if this escalates in a certain way it could violate the artists' information such as emails or browser cookies which In a certain way it is screwed, take caution if you are on furaffinity and see that it is forwarded to another website furaffinity has warned you through Twitter
I have received 2 responses on twitter to a question I asked about the hack:
User 1: That is not how this works, the data of FA can't be accessed like this. This is merely an attempt at overwriting FA and putting up a fake site, which would require you to 'login', with which data could be stolen.
The actual site and it's data is safe.
User 2: from what i can gather this is a DNS hijack not a server hack, its basically telling everyones computers that furaffinity is at ip address Y instead of ip address X with IP address Y being a similar or same website thats malicious
I don't understand your answer, I've read it but when you read it it seems like you're taking credit for the hacking case, which obviously I don't believe and I think it's a translation error.
