# Farewell Letter to Lola
Dear Lola,
My brave, miraculous girl, it's with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. For three short years, you brought boundless joy and love into our lives, your husky-lab spirit filling our home with energy and warmth.
I'll never forget that day on the mountain when you fell from that steep hill. The terror we felt, seeing you tumble down what looked like an impossible drop - it still haunts me. But you, our incredible survivor, defied all odds. You should have died that day, yet you pulled through, showing us the depth of your strength and will to live. It was as if you knew we needed more time together, and you fought to give us that gift.
For a year after your fall, you continued to be our ray of sunshine, never letting on how much that accident had truly affected you. If only we had known the extent of your injuries, the silent battle your body was fighting. Perhaps we could have done more, found a way to give you more time. The thought that you might have been suffering in silence breaks my heart.
Your passing came far too soon, my dear Lola. Lung complications at just three years old - it's cruel and unfair. You had so much more life to live, so many more adventures to share with us. The house feels emptier now without your presence, without the sound of your paws padding across the floor or your excited bark when it was time for a walk.
I'll forever miss your comforting presence, the way you'd lean against me when I was feeling down, and how you always seemed to know just when I needed a furry hug. You were more than just a pet, Lola. You were family, a loyal friend, and a constant reminder of the resilience of life.
Run free now, my beautiful, brave girl. May you bound over hills without fear, feeling the wind in your fur as you once did before that fateful day. Chase squirrels in endless fields, swim in cool, clear streams, and bask in warm sunlight. Know that you are deeply missed, endlessly loved, and will never be forgotten.
Your survival was a miracle that gave us one more precious year together. Now, as you leave us, know that your strength and spirit will forever inspire us.
