Ferris Fox is a pretty odd fox. He doesn't leave his workshop all too often, spending his time tinkering with various inventions and repairing things for his friends whenever he can. Almost as soon as he met her, it seems Ferris has formed a bit of a crush on Salem Skunk. Something he'll never outright admit. On plenty of occasions where Salem has antagonized and inconvenienced the rest of Rambley and his friends, he's been the reason she got away to come back and menace them another day. At one point, he was temporarily afflicted with a suggestion potion, and helped Salem more directly. Rambley and friends may think her hold on him has affected him, but Ferris knows he's just down horrendous for the smart, punky skunk gal. You can catch Ferris hard at work in Ferris' Fix It Workshop! In this attraction, kids get to play around with larger, plastic parts and pre-made parts to let them assemble their own interactive robot companions! Or at least, that was the plan. Ferris' workshop remains unfinished, as it was under construction prior to the evacuation of Indigo Park.
Ultimately, Ferris' fate was doomed to be tragic from the start. He was created as a result of executive meddling, and did not go over well in the series at the start. He was intended to add more comedic relief, via the majority of his own inventions blowing up in his face. His repair work did not have the same effect, making him at least useful as a handy man. His catchphrase he'd say at any opportunity he could goes "I'm the handy man with the handy plan!" Preceding invention based hijinks. The fox is somewhat oblivious the majority of the time, often wandering into danger or causing problems on accident, another reason he wasn't received well. He was eventually relegated to a rare cameo that stays in his workshop instead of going on adventures, helping the cast with acquiring smaller inventions of his, or dismantling Salem's work safely. He was going to finally receive more of a spotlight with an attraction where kids could use assorted parts to build a remote controlled toy robot out of various different components, some mimicking designs from the show, with a few unique designs thrown in for variety's sake. Sadly, it will never see the light of day.
