Stonemason: I’m… not sure. I guess I’ve found myself in a situation where my life is going in the right direction for once and for some reason I’m getting all aroused around a Pokemon I work really closely with and… I won’t share too much but it isn’t great timing.

BillyBoltund: Love/Passion/Attraction doesn’t have any sense of timing or appropriateness, it just happens when it happens. Have you felt this way before now?

Stonemason: Well, I think I may have had this sort of feeling before but my parents never owned Pokemon, I don’t know why. Anyway, I just want this to go away.

TapuAsshat: It won’t

BillyBoltund: I would have been a little softer about it, but you won’t be able to ignore it. You could take some medicine but then your body will fall apart, there’s some evidence it is a carcinogen as well when used every day. I’m not going to presume anything about you, but the fact that you are here tells me you’ve been trying simply ignoring it and it has made the situation much worse.
BillyBoltund: No need to tell me anything specific, but when you’re around this Pokemon, does your heart flutter? Does your skin flush?

TapuAsshat: Tell us about them.

Stonemason: She’s gorgeous, stunning, I never thought a Pokemon could be so magnificent. She’s intelligent, playful, loving…. sorta in her own way, and acts like the goddess of any ground she walks or body of water she swims in.

Mr_Gyarados: :3 I love imposing water types too!

Stonemason: She’s not my Pokemon, but she treats me like I am. She’s all over me when she’s not training, she tries to sneak into my house, apparently her trainer says she barely listens to him at all. I can’t say no, I can’t bring myself to be mean or anything, how do you tell a Pokemon that you want her to stop touching you but that you still like them?

Mr_Gyarados: That’s awful, you shouldn’t do that at all. :(

BillyBoltund: Well, she shouldn’t be anyone’s Pokemon, to be clear. Nobody here wants to “own” a Pokemon, per se, but I understand what you’re saying.
BillyBoltund: What does she smell like?

Stonemason: Um… That’s…

TapuAsshat: That is a very serious question you should definitely answer.

Stonemason: Well, she smells like… her? I don’t have a word for it. It reminds me of when I went to the beach when I was a kid. Like wind and sea mist and flowers.

BillyBoltund: Honestly, I’m surprised it took you this long to find this out about yourself. Most of us find out before we ever set out on journeys or do any schooling. Also, yea nobody tells you but the nose knows.

Mr_Gyarados: Yeah! Scent is a big identifier. Mon lovers can’t help but describe their affections with their nose. I bet if you asked someone else what she smells like they’d say something like “Fishy?” or “Wet?”

Stonemason: Oh, ok I understand. Yeah, come to think of it all of my work partner’s Pokemon do have particular smells...

BillyBoltund: So, I’m going to cut to the chase a bit. You are definitely a Mon Lover; not because you say you get all hot and bothered, but the way you described her tells me you look at Pokemon different than regular folks. She hasn’t shown you any signs of “that” sort of interest, has she?

Stonemason: N...no? I don’t think so. Tail lifting or... nothing like that... she just really likes me cuddling her, wants to be in my lap all the time, sometimes forcibly so.

BillyBoltund: Good, she’s marking you as one of her people. Its probably not sexual, since Anthrophilic Pokemon are just as rare as Pokephilic humans. This doesn’t help YOU, though, since I’m sure you’re an absolute mess while she’s all over you.

Stonemason: Yea, yea I am. So, what, is there some magic therapy or something I’m not allowed to know about before talking to you people?

BillyBoltund: Normally I’d suggest you avoid the target of your affection. Never go for the catch, and the best way to avoid trying is to not be in that situation at all, but you mentioned that you work closely with this Pokemon. I bet you just bailing would upset whatever good thing you have going. Tapu is serious, find porn that works for you and get the pressure out before you have to spend time with them. It works for a lot of us who have the privilege of working with Pokemon day to day and can’t/don’t want to abandon that part of themselves.

BillyBoltund: I think the person who should decide whether they think it is gross is you and you alone. Our brains are made the way they are, it doesn’t make sense to hate something about yourself, especially if it doesn’t hurt anyone.

Stonemason: So you folks don’t think that Pokephilia is wrong? Like at ALL?

BillyBoltund: Pokephilia is illegal in all the major regions on earth, to differing degrees depending on where you are. We don’t encourage anyone do anything against the law. It is against our code of conduct.
BillyBoltund: But we also don’t believe this is how things should be. You work closely with Pokemon, tell me honestly, do you think you could possibly have sex with her without her consent? I can tell you that the object of MY affections can and would leave me in a smoking heap if I tried to do anything at all to them they didn’t want.
BillyBoltund: Beyond that, you’d need to ask yourself if you think they can consent. Besides a few Pokemon that are clearly on the fence during certain stages, like Magikarp for instance, I think you can see just as well as we can that that Pokemon are intelligent. Though they may not be as cerebrally intelligent as humans, they can easily understand consent.
BillyBoltund: And even if we say they can’t consent to that, then why on earth is it OK to own and eat them without consent? Its hypocritical anthropocentric hypermoralistic nonsense.

BillyBoltund: You can always search yourself, but I can recommend a few photographers and also there’s some art sites too with some talented people that draw beautiful stuff. Its hard to help specifically since each of us is into different Pokemon. Use a VPN, I’m sure you know why.
