After dealing with the hyenas, Mufasa was taking the lion cubs back to the village. “Dad, I…” Simba tried to speak. “You deliberately disobeyed me,” Mufasa said sternly. “Dad, I’m… I’m sorry. I just… When Uncle Scar told me about the Burial Grounds, I wanted to check it out. I’m sorry, Dad.” Simba said, hanging his head in shame. “That’s no excuse. I told you not to- Wait, Uncle Scar did what?” Mufasa said. “Uncle Scar told me that all the bravest lions visit it, and I wanted to be brave since I’m going to be king one day, so I…” Simba said, tearing up. Mufasa was shocked and angry. He couldn’t believe that Scar would do such a thing. “We’re really sorry for not listening, sir,” Nala said. “You should be. However, it has come to my attention that you’re not solely to blame. However, we will be having a talk about this later.” Mufasa said, walking off. The cubs and Zazu followed. When they got back to the village, Mufasa instructed Zazu to take Nala home while he took Simba home. Once the cubs were safe, Zazu joined Mufasa at his home. “Zazu, I have a mission for you,” Mufasa said, angry at Scar. “What is it, Sire?” Zazu asked. “Tell Scar I demanded to speak with him in the middle of the village soon,” Mufasa said. “Right away, Sire,” Zazy said, flying off to deliver the info. He went to Scar’s home, but he wasn’t there. He went all around Pride Lands looking for him. After a long time of looking for him, Zazu found the sinister lion talking to the hyenas. “Goodness me, not only did Scar trick the poor cubs into going to that dangerous place, but he was controlling the hyenas. I’ve got to tell Mufasa.” He thought. He flew off quickly so as to not be seen. Mufasa was sitting patiently for Zazu to return. “Sire, Sire, I’ve made a horrible discovery,” Zazu said, panickedly flying down. “Zazu, calm yourself. What’s the matter?” Mufasa said. “It’s Scar. He’s conspiring with the hyenas. The very same hyenas who attacked Simba and Nala.” Zazu said, breathing heavily. “What?” Mufasa growled. “In that case, I’ll have to teach him a lesson he won’t soon forget.” Mufasa headed off to go see Scar. “Sire, wait. It’s dangerous.” Zazu pleaded. “Zazu, I said calm yourself. Those hyenas will be smart to stay out of my way. And as for my brother… he’ll be dealt with.” Mufasa said, heading out. “V-very well, sire. But please do be careful.” Zazu said. “Oh dear, I hope this ends well.” Mufasa soon found Scar scolding the hyenas for messing up the mission, when he noticed Mufasa standing there. “Oh, hello dear brother. I was just dealing with these… beasts… for their misdeeds regarding the future king.” Scar said. “Save it, Scar. I know the truth.” Mufasa snapped. He faced the hyenas. “Is it true my brother was the one who commanded you to attack my son?” He said. Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed all looked at each other. “Yep. It was all him. We were just victims in this.” said Shenzi. “Yeah, he threatened us, right Ed?” Banzai added. Ed looked at the other two and nodded, his tongue flapping about. “You fools. I had nothing to do with-” “Enough. Simba told me YOU told him about the Graveyard, and YOU were the one who had these filthy hyenas attack them. “Hey,” Shenzi said. “You three should leave,” Mufasa said, towering over the hyenas. “Yeah, that’s a good idea,” Shenzi said. “I was just about to suggest that. Let’s get outta here.” Banazi said. So the three bolted away as fast as they could. Scar came down to talk to his brother. “Well, the truth is out, I suppose. Even though there is very little you can do about it.” Scar taunted. “Is that so?” Mufasa said. Mufasa jumped onto his brother and pinned him to the floor. “Let me go, you imbecile.” Scar hissed. “Not until I’ve taught you a lesson for trying to harm my son and his friend.” Mufasa snapped, raising his paw. *SLAP* He brought his paw down, firmly, onto Scar's backside, causing him to cry out. “What do you think you’re doing?” Scar demanded. “Teaching you a lesson,” Mufasa said, giving Scar’s bottom another slap. *SLAP* “Let me go, I don’t deserve this,” Scar demanded. “For trying to get rid of my son and his friend and for conspiring with the hyenas, you deserve much worse. But I’m willing to be lenient with you,” Mufasa said. *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* Scar’s backside was now completely red, so Mufasa decided to let him go. “This isn’t over. You’ll pay for this,” Scar said, rubbing his backside. “Oh, will I? I’ll see to it that you are under surveillance every hour of every day, just to be sure that something like this never occurs again.” Mufasa said, walking out. Scar was furious, but knew he couldn’t do anything since Mufasa would be keeping him under surveillance from now on. Too bad, so sad.
