Prompt: Littlefoot is an apatosaurus, Cera is a triceratops, they live in a place called 'The Great Valley' where they live alongside other herbivorous dinosaurs with the exception of Chomper who is a friendly T-Rex. Littlefoot and his friends like to go adventuring, Cera can be rude but she secretly likes littlefoot and sometimes her passive-aggressive nature gets them into trouble with the carnivores waiting outside the great valley. Littlefoot is also friends with a cowardly, herbivorous pteranodon named Petrie, a Saurolophus named Ducky, her gluttonous, mute adopted stegosaurus brother, Spike and Ruby, who is Chomper's caretaker. They are all dinosaurs.
Note: They're all high on shrooms.
Littlefoot was playing with his friend Cera, hoping she'd take him on one last adventure before she leaves for the summer.
When they get to a stone bridge Cera steps on one of the huge pebbles that are strewn across the way and sends littlefoot falling, unfortunately he's not injured.
Just as they are about to leave, Grandpa Longneck comes along and asks if they'd like to go out to lunch with him, the children accept and take off.
Littlefoot tries to look past Chomper and see where the other dinosaurs are coming from. The other dinosaurs take off right behind them and Littlefoot suddenly realizes he's alone. He falls to the ground in horror.
When they get to the forest, Cera is still holding her breath. Littlefoot is worried. After a while they come to the trees and find a little stump.
'Would you like to climb on a big stump?' he asks.
'Don't you need a big tree trunk to climb on?'
'There are many big trees all over the place, but these don't hurt you,' says Cera. 'Come on.'
She jumps on the stump and Littlefoot sits beside her.
'Watch out for Chomper,' she says, gesturing with her head to the long, hungry creature, walking beside them.
'Chomper!' screams Littlefoot. He jumps off and runs along the path, searching for the pteranodon, who he hadn't seen since they'd left the footbridge. He soon finds Chomper sitting near a stream and Chomper gives him the biggest hug ever.
Littlefoot then looks at the direction he's come from. The other dinosaurs are just now getting near the forest, he runs back to the stump.
But just as he's about to climb on, Cera runs up. She slides off the stump and explains, 'I didn't mean to drop you Littlefoot. I just knew you'd get hurt if I didn't get off so I jumped off and took my chance.'
'But I need you!' says littlefoot. 'And you know that, don't you? The others might be worried about me.'
'They're not,' says Cera. 'They're coming.'
The other dinosaurs then come out of the forest and Littlefoot is excited. His only fear was that the dinosaurs would abandon him if they saw him alone.
'Don't be sad, Littlefoot,' says Cera. 'The others are your friends. And we'll help you, no matter what. We love you too much to do that.'
Chomper lands on the stump and they are all excited to go exploring.
Littlefoot and the others soon come across a large muddy pool with big, soft spots to sit in and a waterfall at the bottom.
Cera picks up littlefoot in her arms and shouts, 'Look at this big pool! No one can miss it! Let's swim in it! It's so big you can't drown in it!'
'We don't want to drown,' says Littlefoot. 'But what about Chomper? Where is he?'
The others look around and give Chomper a wide berth. They're afraid of him and Littlefoot sees them do it.
'Is he a dinosaur too?' he asks.
'No,' says Cera. 'He's a komodo dragon.'
'Komodo dragons kill dinosaurs!' says Littlefoot.
'Chomper's not a dinosaur,' says Cera. 'But he could bite us. But he doesn't. He'll just make us wet and muddy.'
'Then why is he so big?' asks Littlefoot. 'Doesn't he eat much? Do you feed him?'
'Of course not,' says Cera. 'We haven't fed him anything for three days now.'
'Then why is he so big?' asks Littlefoot.
'Because he's big.'
'It's because he's a komodo dragon,' says Cera, who is beginning to worry a little bit, 'that he's so big.'
'He doesn't eat much?' says Littlefoot.
'No, we've barely fed him a little leaf or a little twig for three days now.'
Chomper gets tired of watching them. He turns around and jumps into the pool, scaring everyone else away. Cera and littlefoot jump in after him and Chomper screams loudly at them.
Littlefoot finds this funny, so he laughs. He then sees that Chomper has really left his footprint behind. He jumps back out of the pool, holding Chomper. Cera and the others scream again and Littlefoot is drenched with water.
'I was in the wrong place at the wrong time!' says littlefoot, 'You're a komodo dragon. You should be afraid of us!'
Chomper puts his paws on Littlefoot's shoulders and looks into his eyes. 'No,' he says. 'I'm just big. I'll eat you all up, but not Littlefoot.'
Littlefoot relaxes. 'Thanks,' he says.
'You're welcome,' says Chomper. 'Come on. Let's get out of here before the others come.'
Cera goes after Chomper, leaving Littlefoot and his other friends behind. They're walking through the woods and Littlefoot is happy. He doesn't think about the pool and the other dinosaurs anymore. He begins to wonder why there are no other pterosaurs in the desert. He sees a large and angry rock pterosaur with a red belly. He thinks to himself, 'How is he angry? There is nothing in the desert that he doesn't have.'
'Let's get away from the rock,' says Littlefoot. 'It's going to eat us if we stay here.'
'We shouldn't worry about it,' says Cera. 'He's just really big. He couldn't swallow us.'
Littlefoot and his friends continue walking. They come across a small meadow full of grass with white daisies. They play in the meadow. The sun is setting and everyone is quiet and happy. Littlefoot feels safe and happy.
All of a sudden, a loud screaming sound fills the air. Littlefoot is lying in a ditch with a hole in his back. He is screaming, but no sound is coming out. Chomper is standing over him and he is screaming just as loudly.
'It's ok,' says Cera. 'He's only big. Just like you are. Why are you scared of us?'
Chomper lets go of Littlefoot and he falls to the ground. His mouth is opened and he can't speak. Cera picks him up.
'Chomper! What is wrong with you?' she asks.
Chomper climbs up on Cera's back and presses his front legs against Cera's head. He begins screaming. His head is trembling. He is holding on to Cera with his front legs and trying to claw her face. Cera's motherly instincts tell her to make her little girl feel safe. She strokes Chomper's head and says, 'It's ok, Chomper. It's ok.' She is trying to comfort Chomper.
'Chomper,' says Littlefoot, 'you're hurting her.'
Chomper backs away from Cera.
'Littlefoot, help her,' Cera says.
'Chomper's having a panic attack,' says Littlefoot. 'Let's go.'
'He won't be able to walk anymore,' says Cera, 'He's scared. We have to get away from him. He's going to hurt us.'
Littlefoot picks Chomper up and pushes Cera out of the way. Chomper scrambles to his feet and runs away.
'You're just being silly,' says Cera. 'Come on, let's get away from him. It's ok. Just leave him alone.'
Littlefoot runs after his new friend. The others catch up to them and Littlefoot carries Chomper on his back. They all run and keep running until they come to a cliff.
The pterosaurs on the other side of the cliff are cheering. They are waving and cheering and looking at Littlefoot and Chomper. Chomper sees them, but Littlefoot doesn't notice them. He is too busy looking at the cliff.
'Chomper, climb on my back,' says Littlefoot.
Chomper clings to Littlefoot, looks up at him, and jumps into Littlefoot's arms. He is safe. He is finally safe.
Last night was my last night as a resident of the sanctuary. It's sad to say goodbye
