Well unfortunately, having Nathan Chan as a 4-8-2 locomotive just doesn't work as shown in this little comic.

The REAL reason why I kept putting this locomotive off so many times that the Bachmann HO Light Mountain locomotive just to cramped to fit an LED light thus making the body shell reinstallation very difficult. Hence why I need an emergency HO locomotive to take the place.

Rather fortunately, there are hundreds of Bachmann HO 2-8-0 Consolidation locomotives available so therefore this is the perfect locomotive to portray myself as a steam locomotive. (Even if the 2-8-0 top speed is 60 - 65 mph [97 - 105 km/h]).

So yeah, coming soon there will be a 2-8-0 version of SteamLocoLtMtn (Nathan Chan); stay tuned.

Locomotive basis: Queensland Railway C19-98 2-8-0 (Because the 4-8-2 version is a test unfortunately)

Update:
Nathan Chan The Steam Locomotive is still the Queensland Railway C19-98 albeit as an 4-8-0 instead of a 4-8-2 as a major update will be announced

Update 06/08/2022:
Okay, after some rather “difficult” steam locomotive basis to choose from and knowing that making a custom HO/OO 4-8-0 is not possible even if I’m trying to make a “standard gauge version of a 4-8-0”; it is decided that Nathan Chan The Steam Locomotive is still the Queensland Railway C19-98 going back to the 4-8-2 concept. It is too difficult even for a 4-8-0 basis.

So Nathan Chan The Steam Locomotive is still the Queensland Railway C19-98 is now a 4-8-2 just for the ease of “flexibility”.

Update 12/06/2022:
Due to having too much complications and trouble trying to obtain a Bachmann HO Light Mountain 4-8-2 locomotive, I have changed my mind to make a suitable steam locomotive basis considering the price and availability is proven troublesome. Nathan Chan The Steam Locomotive is still the Queensland Railway C19-98 albeit now as a 2-8-4 considering Queensland Railway used to have one 2-8-4 locomotive for the Cairns Kuranda Steam Train.

So Nathan Chan The Steam Locomotive is now the Queensland Railway C19-98 2-8-4 locomotive.
